unfair?
sorry not all of us has English as our mother language. . .
understanding and tolerance would be nice.
Most important is the function of the mod and that you can read a description and the mod has the things in the description.
The mod author maybe struggles with English but he can attempt to make you understand the mod description. If his mod is stable with no conflict then who cares.
You want to spell the plasma gun or fire it? If there was the mistake of spelling in the mod UI or item description, change it yourself or inform the mod author. No need for this thread . . . I can realize my grammar is not 100%, but its fine i think you understand my meaning (honestly my gf's english is better than mine so she will often edit my mod before its on Nexus)
jerk. please dont download my mods.
"interested in their mod" <-- you dont know how many hours i put into EVE and my others
"modding in general" <-- I can write scripts, make models, UV, texture, GECK, and Nifskope as well as anyone else here
"semi-intelligent" <-- that was not needed. I have a BA in computer science. Great! I'm going for a BA in English! Read my reply to your post to understand what I meant, good sir.
your comments are directed at people who do not have "good grammar and spelling", and that includeds us non-native English speaker (No it does not. As you are less capable of speaking or writing perfect English. Can I speak and write perfect German, or perfect Italian? No! Though I can speak them, I can't compare to someone who was raised speaking either of those languages.)
(by the way Five_X, you may want to check your OWN mod's description. . Shouldn't it be "items" instead of "item"? Them implies plural. Again, a misunderstanding. First, that last bit is directed at a different topic, and second, no one on the face of this Earth can write 100% perfectly.
Hehehe. Your reading comprehension seems to quite low. I was aiming my post at native English speaking people who actually are fully, completely capable of stringing together fluid sentences. Next time, read the material properly. I'll admit, I am an a** at times, in real life, but really. Read my whole post thoroughly, and 'read between the lines'. This whole topic is moreso directed at those lazy English speakers who couldn't care less about spelling and grammar. Not toward people who, like you, actually try. I was taught, or forced, to use proper English. It's required for getting a job, getting into advanced education, and most importantly to me, in writing prose. Your mods are great, they are! But that guy who
could write properly, but doesn't? I doubt they are skilled at modding. Both modding and English require effort, and someone who doesn't put effort into one will most likely not put effort into the other. People like you and I, however, do.
So the next time you lash out at someone or something without truly comprehending them, you will only aggravate the problem.
(QUOTE: Sardonnicus) Same goes for those Manga/Hentai/bestiality mods I see on the nexus.
Hey there! It's quite wrong to group a whole
medium in with two very specific genres! I realise what you mean there, but that's like me saying "I don't like TV/Reality Shows/Soap Operas". It doesn't compute! It is absolutely impossible to do that. Disliking a genre is one thing, that's logical. Not liking a whole medium, due to overblown stereotypes? That's just stupid. I'm not a super fan of anime or manga, and I couldn't care less about Japan. But condemning a medium just as equal to contain masterpieces of storytelling as movies or books, just doesn't work. Yes, I do like anime and manga. I have multiple levels of a shelf dedicated to the stuff. Just please, don't criticize mediums due to the minority. I realize that most is indeed terrible, but that goes for everything. There are far more trashy romance novels and poorly written fantasy sagas than eye-opening pieces of creative mastery. Yeah, my mod is an anime related mod, but is it full of tentacle porm and huge boobs? Hell no! There are quite a few diamonds in the rough, if you look for them. And I have found several. Remember: Only you can stop anime discrimination. Please.
