POLL. Votekick Yes/No

Post » Wed Jun 01, 2011 11:44 pm

As there is no proper anti-cheat solution as of now, i think think this is the only possible solution.

Hate multiplayer with fools voting to kick anyone just for a kick cos they can, or because someone isn't a good player (as in skill) but so what? They paid their money too!

Exactly...now many of us may be pro gamers(with a insane KDR), but that does not mean you can shoot while cloaked. Since there is no pb for crysis 2 i think a votekick option should be added.

As long as an admin can choose to disable it then ok. You can get vote kicked from your own servers you know.

if only 75% of all player vote is needed and admin can enable/disable it.

then yes, it's the only way as crytek would never spend a dime to buy punkbuster.

maintaining up to date punkbuster system may be effective ,yet costly,
and EA does't seem to care at all for that for c2.

votekick is used into gta4 and sure its abused but if the majority doesn't vote for the player to be kicked then he is safe. Usually if a player is TK'ing or hacking, we can't get ENOUGH players to votekick because a lot of them don't know how.
I think if the votekick system is implemented into crysis2 we'll see the same thing. The pro player is safe from an unnecessary kick because most of the players on every server are sensible and realize no ones hacking or not enough ppl will know how to votekick.
This could possibly be a quick way to clean up the servers until crytek/EA can put into a more sophisticated anti-cheat patch.

I hear that a lot, mainly from the same people that call me and my friends hackers. BFBC2 was all I played until Crysis 2 came out, and I haven't seen hackers there for months! But I've seen a lot of false accusations. The FPS world is filled with too many "noobs" that can not distinguish between hacks, skill and even accidental luck. Giving those people the power to kick others, especially in this super soldier shooter, would not end very well IMO... Punkbuster might not be perfect, I don't know, but it surely kicks the heck out of a lot of cheaters!

Edit: actually I played Medal of Honor too, a lot, until I was banned for hacking from most servers in my vicinity - can't even give the admins this power apparently, but, what you gonna do... I prefer the admin solution to the votekick solution. (And just to clarify: I don't cheat!)

Votekick is an awesome idea in an ideal society of gamers. However, since "ideal" doesn't match reality, votekick's a very cumbersome solution to the problem at hand. So I say no.

We can all agree the best solution is having admins on all servers 24/7,
But seriously, how high do ya think the chances are for that ever happening, when we cant even host our own servers??
I wouldent keep my hopes up for that one,..
.....So that leaves the nxt best solution,.... PunkBuster, and as another person wrote, u think crytek/EA are ever gonna spend the mony to buy it??
Not likely,.. so again we dont have meny options left,... Hence Votekicking, would be our Best/ONLY solution,..IMO..

I would get kicked every single game, so I say nay to votekick as an option.

I played a game like 15 minutes ago, full server... lighthouse. I got 25-2, the next best person had 6-4.

This happens all the time, except usually a few people reach 10-12 kills before I win. How long would I be allowed to play if there was a votekick option...

Not long is the answer.

Vote kick is the worst possible answer, it's worse than doing nothing, seriously.

Those noobs who voted yes would regret it once they're pretty good at the game.

Here's what always happens with a vote kick system if you're a fairly decent player..

1. You join a server.
2. You take the lead.
3. Some moron starts spamming kick votes because you're owning.
4. The noobs press F1 because they're getting owned.
5. "You have been kicked from the server."
6. None of the good players bother playing anymore, the community stagnates and the game dies.
Rinse and repeat.

Bad idea.

Because 1 noob can kick an entire server, RIGHT?! Idiot. Vote kick feature should be in the game, yes. Whoever claim it will get abuse have no **** idea. It work just fine in other games.

How am i trolling? I'm stating what i have observed in other games in the past.

You're probably one of those noobs who would F1 the vote and get an innocent player kicked.

Why do you think they didn't put any call vote options in the game? because they know it doesn't work perhaps?

I totally agree

I just noticed this little phenomenon. two little jerks were mouthing off and I noticed they appeared on my thread a minute after or before each other, so it got me wondering, especially since one of them has only made 9 posts, 8 of which on my thread. So look at this:
wetduck Joined this Website: Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:16 am
He posted his 'against' vote kick remark Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:17 am
eternatus the anus replied his agreement at Wed Apr 06, 2011 5:18 am
That's the only post wetduck has made, apart from suddenly appearing on my thread seconds before and after eternatus the anus. But never online at the same time?

Are these 2 one of the same person, and eternatus the anus created another account so he could agree with himself on a subject of being against kicking players from a server? And he seems strangely opposed to the idea of publicly exposing hackers?
Is he 'pro hacker?
Isn't it against the rules to have multiple accounts on here anyway?
Or are they both a pair of twats?
Discuss! :D
