My poor companion's tail is stretching from Tamriel to Morro

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 7:04 am

My poor companion is just trying to be a hero, and amount to that of me - a true hero. She follows me willingly to hope to become grand, but the next thing I know I have to dump her because she has become a huge distraction. You know how hard it is to tell a women, "I'm sorry but things are just getting too complicated"?
Well, I'd imagine Tomlong to be the usual to solve this problem so I suppose she may not :P
but I digress, my companions tail use to be..well...normal length for a Kahjiit...then one day, her tail is stretching like a slinky all over the place, while most times it stetches so far the dpeth of the tail is hardly distracting at all. It usually stretches to thinner than a sheet of paper, however, sometimes, it stretches AND flattens out into a broad, annoying, brown object that follows her everywhere, and can be a very deciding outcome in battle, because its hard to see the enemy since there is a giant brown wall of fuzz in my face!

I tried deactivating the OMOD (as the tail is a custom tail) to reset the meshes and textures, however, I had no luck. The tail still stretches out. Anyone got any idea?

EDIT:
lol title should be corrected:
From Cyrodiil to Morrowind
I knew when I was typing that title something wasn't right, but I have been having a long day, and a offday...so I have an excuse :P and lore-knowers, cut me some slack.

You need to select skeletonbeast in the CS for the NPC. Might be best to extract the nif from OBMM and place it into the _male folder so that in the CS you can actually select it.

There's an option in the Bashed Patch that fixes this. It's under NPC Tweaker/Vanilla Beast Skeleton Tweaker

thank you, I will try that now, but as a quick little note to insert here, I would like to mention (if you didn't gather this from my metaphor) she had been following me and now acting up like such before...so, I dunno why the sudden change in heart

Edit:
I feel i should make it known that these ideas did not fix my problem...sadly

And Tomlong saves the day again! :twirl:
Tomlong - Save the forum users (a lot of frustration) one at a time. You deserve the Bethesda-forums medal of honor (whatever that may be). Thank you a lot!
