Popularizing Brink

I don't know if it's just me but I've been spreading the word about Brink so hopefully it becomes the next big competitive game :) I'd like some assistance in this :P

I try,but a lot of my friends are thickheaded and sticking with the usual stuff. Cod, WoW, Runescape, Age of Empires, Counterstrike ...Even though they all play shooters.

I know this feeling... People are so stubborn to break habbits, but so far I have convinced two of my friends to buy it with me ^^

I have definitely been telling all of my friends that play video games about this one. Hopefully they are doing the same and so on...
I hope we start seeing some television ads for this, thats really where it would reach the most people.

Or do like Activision did for Call of Duty: http://www.google.dk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mapmodnews.com/images/library/image/Black-Ops/times-square-billboard-cod-bo.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mapmodnews.com/article.php/Call-of-Duty-Black-Ops-NY-&usg=__7njC7a7FP4g9CFfWv8fDOmZNpag=&h=279&w=450&sz=147&hl=da&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=h31GnTbNVPei2M:&tbnh=122&tbnw=197&ei=jeNaTY-QD8acOu_ijLEL&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dcall%2Bof%2Bduty%2Bbillboard%2Badd%2Btime%2Bsquare%26um%3D1%26hl%3Dda%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:da:official%26biw%3D1366%26bih%3D618%26tbs%3Disch:10%2C3&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=124&vpy=95&dur=509&hovh=177&hovw=285&tx=137&ty=57&oei=jeNaTY-QD8acOu_ijLEL&page=1&ndsp=16&ved=1t:429,r:0,s:0&biw=1366&bih=618 xD

I already got 2 good friends to buy this game, and an extremely close friend I've known since.. hmm, first grade, maybe, is getting it for the PC, as I will. We're going to personally wreck everyone.

Once the NDA is lifted you should be seeing a lot more exposure

What is this ''NDA''? And what does it do?

NDA stands for Non-Disclosure Agreement.

In short, people with access to brink are under a binding contract (the NDA) not to reveal any information about the game as of now. Since the companies (SD and Beth) can both be monetizing the information they reveal, as well as maybe wanting to keep a tight leash on pre-release bugs (bad word of mouth can hurt a very whole lot) they are keeping a tight wrap on the information current testers can leak. Once the NDA is lifted, you'll see tons of videos and reviews pop up everywhere, but until then, noone can say a word otherwise they'll get sued.

Non disclosure agreement preventing anyone but SD from publishing any original content or you get sued lol. Once it's over People who have played the closed Beta, previewers ect will be able to post videos, articles (that are not interviews + impressions) and discuss content as they please.

I have the very serious and vivid fear that once that NDA is lifted I won't get any sleep for at least half a dozen days...

I've spread the word, but it's hard for them to get enthusiastic when they'll only watch the videos. There's too much to Brink to squeeze into the vids.

I'm pretty sure when the NDA goes under, the new influx of gameplay footage will keep me up pretty late every night for a good few days... But yeah, the same will DEFINITELY happen (on a much larger scale I assume) once the game ships in may...

Damned addiction.

I think I remember hearing in high school that LSD couldn't really induce any kind of addiction. Pfft, that's all cuzz of the extra L, SD is pure [censored]z; I haven't even touched the thing and I can't get it outta my head already ;)

One of my friends already knew about this and I got excited.
For the rest it's a little hard for me to do.
I actually got two other friends to get this, but they said they would get it on PS3 and they're leaving Xbox.
And it's literally all BLOPS fault why they're switching over, I don't understand why, but it is.
And now I'm hoping I will be able to get a few friends off this forum to play with me.

Nah, I live in europe and the game first releases on May 20 there ^^

Btw huge news guys !

On Twitter a game journalist named Andrea Rene (@andrearene) and another named Chris Nunz (@ChrisNunz) had this conversation:

@andrearene: Take any videos of the Brink hands-on demo?

@ChrisNunz: It happens tomorrow! I'll upload as soon as I can :)

@andrearene: Is it against Brink's embargo to at least mention when the embargo is going to be lifted? :)

@ChrisNunz: HAha I don't think so, its Feb. 28th ;) Random day if you ask me!

So the NDA is only 12 days from being removed :D

I'm going to do a fake suicide stunt off the empire state building and drop Brink flyers when everybody gathers and tells news that I didn't do it since Brink was coming out, so I had something to live for.
