Just finished the solo campain. What an excellent game.

Indeed :)

Finished the game myself about 2 hours ago and done 3/5 of the co-op stuff so far. Very fun! ^_^

There's only 5 co-op maps/chambers?

There's 5 courses. Each course has about 8-9 chambers.

How did you finish it in 4 hours? Are you going by the time that Steam says you've played?

Yeah, that was the time steam told me I've been playing it. Kinda felt like 4 hours too be honest, most tests were pretty straight forward. The fact that they only let you put portals in specific places makes it a lot more easy.

Oooh ok. That makes me happy.

Yeah, there's a link in the thread that explains the Steam timer is currently broken. Portal 1 restricted the places you could put portals, but I do kinda agree that there are some chambers where it's extremely specific. Though, with some of the mechanics they've introduced, I can kind of understand the restrictions they put on it.

Was fun, great game but was expecting a bit more challenging.. finished it in 4 hours and 1 hour into the co-op and already going for the 4th chapter

The steam timer is broke, you definitely didn't finish the game in 4 hours. My friend is speedrunning it right now and he says he's about 4 hours into the game and he has a bit left (I'm talking to him on Skype)

For example it says that it took me 12 minutes to level a Borderlands character to level 58

Yeah I think I'm going to wait on a price drop. But overall it's pretty good?

You can wait for a price drop, but yes it is a very fun game especially with the new stuff added in for the puzzles. Already concocting some nasty puzzles myself for a few insane levels and Co-Op just makes it even better.

Finished it earlier today. Loved it, loved the humor in the game, probably my favorite thing about it. Loved the ending.

Just finished it. Found a couple of easter eggs.

Spoiler

Towards the end of the retro aperture science part there's a door hidden behind some cabinets that you can go through that leads to a bit of humorous dialog and what looks like the old docking bay for the ship they mentioned in one of the HL2 episodes.

There's another part where a wall opens up revealing an exit and you can see a guy in a suit running through the door. Could have been the G-man but he looked a little different, no briefcase or anything. Ironically the computer guy mentions shortly after that everyone other than you in the facility is dead.

That's P-Body, I don't think Valve would dare to put G-Man in there.

I thought it was fantastic. Finished the solo campaign, definitely gonna do another one to hunt for easter eggs/any potential HL references tomorrow. I had no problem with the lenght either, it took me about 7-8 hours, and I wasn't really stuck at any chamber for a long time. I can't really understand the people who say they have finished it in 3-4 hours, either steam's time tracker is acting up for them, or maybe they just rushed through the whole game without bothering to listen to the story/dialogue. In this case that would be a mistake, because the story and the characters were quite entertaining and funny. The puzzles were well designed too, first half was a bit easy, but the second half was challenging without being frustrating. Overall, the game was full of memorable moments, if you like single player games, or liked the gameplay in Portal 1, you should play it sooner rather than later (especially because the more time you wait, the more chances you give to some a-hole to spoil the biggest moments for you... happened to me with so many sp games before).

Having finished it today, I can easily say that I enjoyed Portal 2 much more than my other recent gaming purchase, DA2.
I was worried that it was going to simply be Portal 1.5, but it felt like a true sequel. The story was decent, the voice acting brilliant, the characters completely loveable and the gameplay was brilliant. Some of the final chambers had me tearing my hair out for ages until I saw the simple solution and cursed my stupidity.
Spoiler
I really felt an attachment to Weatley. Despite the whole "killing you" stuff he was cheeky and fantastic the whole way through. I even felt sad when he was out in space :(

Well Valve, you've done well this time. Now just release Half Life 2: Episode 3 and I wont destroy you once I've taken over the world.

Oh and feel free to add me to the PC Steam List: Robbio1000/Robbio (at least I think thats right)

I played Mortal Kombat with my roommates and girlfriend last night and didn't get to do either 1) my second Portal 2 playthrough or 2) go back and play Half Life 2. I'm getting this itch that will need to be cured tonight.

Antibody, hurry up and beat the damn game so we can be robots!

Yeah, I've ordered Portal 2 off Amazon for $39.99. Not sure why it's cheaper then usual, but who am I to complain?

Anyway, it's for PC. Should be here by Monday, Friday if I'm lucky.

Not too far off finishing the single player, I think. I loved
Spoiler
the old Aperture areas in the mines. Some of the Cave Johnson stuff was hilarious. Also Glados as a potato stuck on the end of your Portal gun :lmao:

I just fell down a really, really big hole after 2.5 hours.

So far... like Portal 1 it's the dialogue that is making the game. The puzzles are mediocre for the most part.

That's what I thought during the first... 6-ish chapters. After that it gets really really good.

First 6 or so chapters were pretty simple, though full of some pretty funny dialogue and story segments. Having just gotten past that part of the game it has definitely become far more challenging.

After having a little time to mull it over, this is definitely proves Portal as one of the greatest gaming series of all time. It's rare for a game to make you laugh out loud almost constantly, as well as get a little bit emotional

Finished the singleplayer and I'm really impressed.
Spoiler
The ending was both extremely ludicrous and awesome. The lift ride to the surface was a fitting send-off too.
Only negative I can think of was that there were a few puzzles in the last 1/3 that I felt were a lot of busywork, rather than actually challenging to solve.

Now to find someone to play co-op.

Agreed. I also felt like there was a slight lack of continuity between the games - the different textures and puzzle elements and stuff.
