Just beat it. Gotta admit, there were a couple chambers that had me definitely scratching my head.

Can't wait to play through it again and catch the stuff I missed. But, until then, co-op.

Try co-op without a mic, makes things much much harder.

Why would I want to make it harder?

Because it's hilarious to try and explain a section using only the "look" function. Me and my friend spent ten minutes on a section because of this.

Just finished the game, bravo valve, bravo.
Spoiler
When she sends you up the elevator laughing and then the turrets appear I was like "Oh, look, I'm going to die", and then they broke out into song which was epic albeit weird. During the final shot when you're in the field I was half expecting a combine ship to fly past in the distance and the game end but alas we can't all have what we want.
Still an almost perfect game.

Damn, sorry, totally forgot about the spoiler tags.

I'm still terrified that the animal king is real. The world is not prepared for this contingency. Cave's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5JzS2US6Dc had me laughing for quite a bit. So did http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NrlicI03_g The adventure sphere!

I have to agree that Portal 2 is a rather thoroughly enjoyable experience. Even though the single player campaign is short what gives it re-playability is the co-op part and the fact we can make maps for it. Like others there were several puzzles that left me scratching my head, but I was able to figure out most of them. Only had to go online once to figure out one puzzle which was stumping me.

Was great how they involved an almost wink to the fallout Universe with the later part of the game. *Won't spoil it*

I do want to ask though is anyone here planning to make maps or wants to make some? After some time i'm going to start planning my own maps out and wondered if we should do some collab work.

Spoiler
yes but since we can still the projectiles moving through the air, it isnt "instant" and it has range, so it would never be able to reach the moon which is lightyears away.

Almost done single player, but I'm losing my motivation here. I'll reserve final judgement for after I finish though.

I enjoyed the commentary mode in Portal 1 so I'll definitely be re-playing Portal 2 with commentary on.

Oh, my face hurts from the massive facepalm.

Also note:
Spoiler
Glados humming "For He's A Jolly-good Fellow" was sooooo creepy

Really looking forward to the second playthrough. I think I'll follow Exorince and turn on commentary.

I'm playing both single player and 2 player at the same time, just when my friend and I are in compatible times (he is 8 hours away from me, time zone wise). Nearly at the end of the single player and we've done 2/5 of the 2 player mission with no mic.

There's only 5 co-op maps/chambers?

Actually the one thing they specifically stated was the moon rock was an excellent portal conductor. They also had astronaut tests, so evidently the rock in dense enough concentrations allows the portal to behave differently.

Anyways the rest of the game was pretty. Meh, chambers were too easy. I only had two that made me pull my hair out, and that was because of over thinking them. The song at the end felt forced, and generally the game was like a long string of disconnected chambers and gags. Very few chapters involved story at all, and I was disappointed by this. They crammed it into three chapters. Well actually it's more accurate to say there were only three chapters of story, which was disappointing. They could have done so much with Ratman/the guy who made those paintings and had a moon dial there. It was a good high quality game, but not Valve's best. I'm going to give it an 8.5/10m just because so much of it seemed like fan [censored] and that stupid store.

Edit
Co-op might improve my opinion and score. MIGHT.

Edit2
This feels a lot like, quick guys we need to do something until Episode 3/Half Life 3 is done.

Spoiler
That I understand and agree with, but the guy saying "The moon is lightyears away" was what I was facepalming about.

How did you finish it in 4 hours? Are you going by the time that Steam says you've played?

I've been trying to hold out until Episode 3 is released, but it's still taking Forevertm :hehe:

The little unrelelenting optimist in me says that Episode 3 will be Valve's next release. Silly little thing it is ^_^
