Portal 2 most anticipated game of 2011 : Othor Games

I was in an argument with one of my friends and this came up. Portal 2 won most anticipated game of the year, but I dont think this would be true. Skyrim couldn't have been an option in the polling because bethesda wouldn't want to give it away. I would just like to see other peoples takes on it, because I think that Skyrim will have a much larger following and it has been a long time since the last ES game

Personally, I'm more excited for Skyrim than any other game next year, but I'm sure Portal 2 is much more anticipated by the general gaming public.

u kno that skyrim wasnt announced til that night that portal 2 won right (also ME3 was announced)? so... im pretty sure pretty sure ppls opinions hav changed now

I think this should be in the Series or Community Discussion. But, I think that Portal 2 fully worthy of 1st place. Portal was a great game. Though its not 1st in my mind, I probably won't even buy it for a year or two after it is released.

Well I have faith that Skyrim will be one of the best games ever made. Seems like I'm being a fan boy of Bethesda (which I am) but if you think about it, over 100 devs, all the information we know now and we still have more coming and they still have several months of development to shine everything over, I think it's pretty evident that it's very possible to be one of the best games ever created.

At least as far as PC's are concerned, I'd expect Diablo to get that spot. It was a game with huge influence, and its fans have been waiting for a loooong time for another sequel. Still when a TES is coming out, nothing can be more anticipated for me. (although Diablo is very close I admit :biggrin: but for different reasons. I can have a lot of fun with Diablo, but not get completely immersed in the world like in TES )

I personally am planning on buy only two games this year, Portal 2, and Skyrim. Of the two however there is only one whose forum I have been injecting directly into my arm for the past week now and I think about more than anything else. Portal 2 will be awesome, but it will not be anything close to Skyrim.

*btw, off topic but when typing does anyone else accidentally type SKyrim because you don't take your finger of shift soon enough.

The only two games I give a damn about this year are Skyrim and Red Orchestra 2: HOS

They are the only two games actually breaking ground, everything else is going to be a rehash or a milked and over-abundant franchise.
