Possible DLC?

Intresting read.

What you guys think? Source is NowGamer.

Bethesda's DLC plans for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim may involve the regions of Morrowind and Cyrodiil if the latest discovery involving the game is anything to go by.

A PC gamer has explored beyond Skyrim's in-built borders (via the patch in the video below) using a no-clip mode and found that Skyrim's code appears to include the continent of Tamriel - in its entirety - beyond the playable environment.

The areas of Morrowind and Cyrodiil appear to be intact, albeit untextured and unpopulated.

But what for? It could be that future DLC will populate these existing maps with trees, beasts, NPCs and buildings, or maybe Bethesda simply decided against using those areas in the finished game.

Let the conspiracy theories begin. Skyrim's latest PC patch is out, but hasn't pleased everybody.

I want to explore more of Blackreach. I really do. And at least one Daedric Realm, ideally Ash Pit, Coldharbour or the Hunting Grounds.

I've been thinking about this, since I discovered the paths to both Cyrodil and Morrowind. Those would be huge expansions though. Skyrim is what, 8 GB? You would obviously have assets that already existed on file (trees, the landmasses, NPCs, items, everything that has to do with the character), but unless they wanted to make the two other provinces feel like Skyrim, they would still have to add a lot of content. Does Microsoft have limits on how large/expensive a DLC expansion can be? An entire country would probably be something over $20/4 GB.

Well, from what one of my friends told me Bethesda says they are planning at least 5 "large" DLC's, I was thinking myself the only way I'd like to visit other places would be to save the rest ot Tamriel from dragons. other than that keep the DLC at least in the natural realm of the world. I didn't much care for whispering isles and such. Going through a cave to a new demention for each DLC bugs me....

Maybe Todd has finally gone crazy and decided that they will release a Morrowind DLC(basically a Morrowind re-make with the Skyrim engine and new quests) and a Oblivion DLC. Two past games as DLCs to give the "*former title* was much better than Skyrim!"-whiners a reason to shut up.

Can modder use that open terrain at all or is a lot involved in it?

A lot would be involved, but yes, a modder could use the terrain. They'll probably hold off until Bethesda announces something relating to DLC though. I'd imagine that a modder's Morrowind and a potential Morrowind DLC would conflict.
