possible download content for the future

Post » Fri Feb 14, 2014 4:38 am

i was just thinking

since this is tamriel and magic is everywere dlc can be anything. example of possible dlc would be the ability to relive threw magic epic battles from the past like the nord revolt against the dragons this could in turn open up new skill lines involving shouts. as sort of an achievement skill line.....

this is of course something that would come after or in between them adding the other area's of tamriel and they even have 3 continents they can play with if they so choose. or is it 4.... red guard homeland was sunk in the see i think.

if anyone else has any idea's please post here maybe zenimax will think on some of ur idea's and implement them

The term DLC generally means optional downloadable content... usually for money. Like other MMOs, ESO will add content via patches. Everybody will get them for free, and they will be automatically downloaded (since in an MMO everybody has to be playing the same game).

As for the time travel idea, I'm against it  It's an overused cliche at this point. But as you noted, there is a ton of other stuff to put in first ;) Not only all those areas and the rest of the guilds, but dueling, housing, all the weapon types and associated skill lines that people have been asking for, and maybe some new classes.

heh the other continents will not be implemented, that I am very sure of, not much is known about them at this point in the lore.

Adding to the already big landmass is more then plausible.

I wonder where the will add first, I hope elsweyr will be expanded first :P But don't they have to expand for all 3 alliances at the same time to make it "fair".

Consider the thought of them adding a gate to an oblivion realm where you can do some questing maybe big bad boss.

Wonder if we get to fight molag bal, so many questions about the content already in the game I cant think on what they should add later :bonk:

Well they can have the content in the game, but they can restrict access to it unless you pay for it, much like what Guild Wars 1 did having 3 stand-alone games and only one actual expansion.

true but this just means that they are open for interpretation and just cause there is no lore doesnt mean they dont exist and doesnt mean that no one has traveled to them and certainly if they can invade tamriel "akavarian invasion" then a small band of players would certainly be able to travel there for a raiding party.... and for lore to find its way into a lore book one needs to have a historian write about it certainly not all adventurers in nirn require lore to be writen about them

Why would they not be able to implement other continents? All lore is new lore the first time it appears in a game. Not saying they WILL, but of course they CAN.

They could, but they won't. Whole point of having a sub :P

Yeah true, the point I wanted to make is that I don't believe ZoS will take the time or want to write that lore. If it comes I think it will first be for the singleplayer, Don't know if Bethesda have any the sole copyright to write it too.

They already confirmed the time travel thing. It has something to do with putting on old armor.

WOW and Everquests adds new land masses and increased level cap with separate expansion pacs you need to pay for.

Pack downloads and expansions are common place for MMO's regardless of subscription. I haven't ever seen a MMO that didn't charge for an expansion because they are a subscription model. Also it depends on what you mean by same game. Sure everyone needs to be playing ESO, but if you don't buy the expansion then you don't get access to that content. To me a DLC is like buying access to like one dungeon very small. An expansion is a major game update that usually involves new level caps, continents, a race or two, graphics update, ect. thrown in. Having the base game and not buying anything further still means your playing the same game.

I still don't get what the sub has to do with it.

Im guessing well probably start by seing progressive expansion of all 3 alliance territories (like on the released maps the already controlled areas seem to be divided in sub divisions, it would be plausible to say they may add one area of same size to each alliance territory), this would make a lot more sense especially since you can't go into other alliance territories until your lvl 50 (I cant remember where I read that sry, maybe someone can add...)
