I know that really nobody know's what happened to the dwarves and since I didn't play these games until Skyrim started I have no clue if dwarves were ever present. My question is if theres a chance I'll ever see a dwarf in tamriel. I love dwarves and it's a shame of the lack of their presence. Please tell me, or redirect me to any kind of helpful facts or opinions :biggrin:. Thanks!

Well. There is a Dwemer who is still alive in Morrowind, although. I'm not sure if he'd still be alive now.

Other than that, I'd rather not see them again. I like the mystery behind them, if they came back-.. It just defeats the purpose really.

It's impossible. The Dwemer uncreated themselves into the Brass God.

Even if they were in game, they wouldn't be dwarves in the typical sense. They're tall dwarves. Go figure.

I kind of think of them as Atlanteans .. like a advanced prehistorical race, that mysteriously disappeared. And just like Atlantis, it may always be a mystery.

No one here knows if they'll make a return or not.

I will point out though that Elder Scrolls Dwarves (or Dwemer) are not actually dwarves. They're elves. The term Dwemer literally means Deep Elves. They were given the name dwarves from a race of giants (possibly the ones in Skyrim), because they were dwarves to them.

They were called dwarves because of how small they were in comparison to Giants, who are called Giants because of how big they are compared to men and mer.

As has been pointed out to you above: they were Mer. Meaning they were an elven race.

Personally I prefer them to be gone, apart from a few sole survivors and some spectres that is. It makes their lore much more interesting and open to speculation/theorizing.

I don't see the Dwemer returning. However, I think mermaids are a total possibility. Maybe in the Elder Scrolls 6.

Mermaids went extinct over a thousand years ago when the Dreugh ran out of Sload to eat.

Falmer, Dwemer, Ayleid, Lilmothiit. They are all past the point of no return. Maormer however are prob gonna make an appearence, as well as Akaviri Humans, Tsaescii, Dreughs, blahblahblah Im bored gtg.
