Is it possible to find Daedric weapons without Smithing?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:11 am

Specifically a 1H sword? I've spent 200+ hours and the only Daedric weapons I've obtained are through smithing. Anyone know of any Daedric swords in set locations?

There are none in a set location, but you should find one at a high level.

It is very likely based on player level.

I received an enchanted Daedric sword from Ulfric, level fifty-one.

I was kind of bummed out when I first came across Dragon Armor.

I remember thinking the entire game, "Oh this will be awesome! I'll craft a set of Dragon Armor, and since I'm the legendary Dragonborn, I'll have like, the only set. Definitely never going to sell it, Just going to make my own from the bones and scales of my slain enemies! It'll be awesome!" Then, "Now, I'm going to check out this random chest in some guys room in an inn, maybe find a few gold or somethi-*sees Dragonplate Boots* Well...that's uh...anti-climactic..."

Yep, i've found one, iirc, at 60th level.
But seriously, it's so much easier and earlier to craft one yourself, just visit some alchemists and ebony mines.

I'm not wasting perks all the way up to Daedric Crafting just to craft a sword. I did that on my first character.

Yes, it's a waste in my opinion. I'm only interested in obtaining one without smithing - which I found is possible. Thread over.
