possible fix for some getting please check your netowork...

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:08 am

basically the game was working fine as far as logging in to mp. Then my pc crashed during mid load on mp, once i booted back up i wasnt able to long in any more and i kept getting the check your network error. I tried every fix out there to no avail, so i started messing around myself. What i found was that, a week prior i added my computer to my home network so all my devices could access files from it. Im running windows 7 64bit, and when i added it to the network i never restarted so it didnt change my network. So when my pc crashed it got changed to the correct settings for a in home network. As soon as i took my pc off the network i was able to long in so it seems that crysis 2 has a issue with computers on a network. So all u have to do is go to your network setings and go through the options and click leave your home network. Give it a try it fixed mine so i assume theres others out there it might help as well. Let me know if it works for you as well.

The problem for me is that I did have a network setup, but I left it, and don't have it anymore. However, I have (and I don't know why?) this problem: every time I create a home-group, my other PC won't see it. I have no idea why. It worked fine a few days ago. I guess this indeed might be the problem, but, as of NOW, I restarted like a million times already, and I don't have any home groups now, probably I should disable all the shared folders and then run crysis? I have no idea what to do...

read the post above and tell me if your looks like this

access type: internet
homegroup: ready to create < (if this blue button doesnt say ready to create then your still in a group)
connections: local area connection.

Hey. Just tried this. Unfortunately has made no difference.

To give a bit of background. MP is working fine on my Desktop(ethernet) which had a homegroup on. But my laptop doesnt connect to MP getting a network error has occured message, this didnt have any homegroups set up or connected on it, but this is a wireless connection.

have tried everyones suggested fixes, but to no avail. Bridging the network adapters, reinstalling adapters. and all that jazz, but still getting the same issue. Funny thing is, if i turn around and use my desktop works silky smooth.

Win 7 x64, Have 2 Pcs: laptop and desktop, the desktop is connected via Router D-Link 615, the Laptop is wireless connected via the same router. I'm not playing cry2 from my laptop and not planning to.

I could try connecting my Rj-45 cable (ISP cable) straight into my desktop pc's network card if you say it can make any difference. Just for the sake of trying.

Ok Machine specs -

Desktop(Multi Player working fine) -
Windows Home Premium - 64Bit
Phenom x6 1050t - 2.8ghz
4GB RAM
Ati 5870
3TB of hard drive space.
Ethernet connection

Laptop(Multi Player not working but Single Player is) -
Windows Home Premium OEM - 64Bit
i5 2.66ghz
6GB RAM
GeForce 420M
640GB Hard Drive
Wireless Connection(Also have tried ethernet and still having the same problem)

I have tried using 3 different networks(Mine, Girlfriends[yes i do have one :P] and also my works), also tethered to my phone to see if that managed to get it working, nothing has made any difference at all. Other multiplayer games working with out issues on the laptop.

your issue is your router i believe, many of poeple have complained about this router blocking connection to crysis servers. i would try connecting with out that router and see if that works.
