Possible future expansion

Post » Tue Feb 25, 2014 10:11 pm

Hey guys! I was thinking about dragons and how's said in The Elder Scrolls Skyrim that dragon's were killed long ago, so do you think is it possible that they might add dragon like expansion to the game with clases like Dragonborn or Dragonpriest?

Hope not.

And I do believe, most of the Dragons were killed off before ESO takes place.

Dragons would not disappear from Tamriel until a few hundred years (rough guess) after ESO, so having dragons isn't inconcievable. Dragonborn however definitely won't be in the game as part of the plot revolves around the fact that one must be dragonborn to become emperor, and there are no known dragonborns until the coming of Tiber Septim. Dragon priests do exist but are highly unlikely to be playable.

Besides, we already have dragon knights that emulate a lot of dragon abilities.

Not a chance. Dragon priests are minions of Alduin and the Dragonborn are "descendants" of the god Akatosh. The only Dragonborns around would be the Septims, who are rightful heirs to the Ruby Throne, thus making the three faction war finish and destroying PvP.

we're as likely to get a dragon focused expansion as much as we are to get a mehrunes dagon focused expansion.

Bal isn't the only daedric prince with designs on Nirn. Who says Dagon is sitting this one out?

Agreed. 3 way alliance war seems like a perfect opportunity of the daedric prince of destruction and change to poke around nirn.

my point was we don't really see any connection to other games in any game in the series.

in oblivion there was a daedric invasion where you could see a dremora and an oblivion gate every 20 steps, and I only saw 2 in one specific quest in skyrim. it will be more of the same in ESO. theres a possibility we might talk to one in the story if there is indeed one in coldharbour like people are saying, but nothing else

also I know dagon isn't sitting out, im just saying that to focus an expansion on him invading is recycling used material and they won't do it, same with dragons.

molag bal is already "poking around". if they're going to do an expansion I want something original, not a re-hash of the main story.

To be fair, dark anchors with daedra spilling out is a similar concept to oblivion gates with daedra spilling out. Maybe not the same reason, but still.

exactly, which makes it even worse if they do a dagon focused story.

I dunno, a dagon focused story that didn't follow the ' invasion ' path would be fine imo. Surely the prince of change isn't a 1 trick pony.

Don't think I don't get what you're saying though, highlighting the other princes would be cool. But I could see it happening with dagon as well.

honestly I don't want any focus on princes, after they finish tamriel and do a proper expansion I want to see some new lands, I mean there are so many small island kingdoms and continents close to tamriel.

theres pyandonea, where the maormer live, and I actually think there is a decent build up for a story there, im sure you know what im talking about if you played AD. theres yokunda, the redguards homeland, theres atmora to the north. theres a good few places we'll probably never see in the SP games, at least not for a long time.

I dunno, I don't see us going those places really in keeping in line with the alliance war., the land mass of yokunda is mostly sank, pyandonea is relatively small as well. We very well might, but we'll probably deal with a powerful daughter of cold harbor, or some other champions of the princes. I mean, why would the ebonheart pact care that the maormer are doing something the AD doesnt like on their islands - unless its prince related.

well think about it. the maormer repeatedly launch invasions on the sumerset isles and surrounding coasts. so the aldmeri dominion could go there.

yokunda is the homeland of the redguards, and is still in contact with tamriel as an independant kingdom. it also didn't completely sink, it was about as big as tamriel before, but is now as big as valenwood I would say.

and atmora is the homeland of the nords, they might want to go back for whatever reason. there we have three lands, all related to at least one faction in each alliance. it probably won't happen, but I think after having expansion after expansion for TES games dealing with this daedric prince or that daedric prince, it would be a breath of fresh air to go somewhere nicer than oblivion.

I dunno, alliance specific expansions could get hairy. That would mean my nord is locked to 1/3 of the expansion content. I see opening up Tamriel a much more likely possibility. I want them to open black marsh, and have an expansion focus around the hist, sithis, and the argonian purists - possibly involving the brotherhood and shadow scales.

Edit: the way the alliance all meet at Cyrodil seems like it's difficult to encourage each alliance to have a logical need to visit a far off land through enemy territory, so anything is possible I suppose.

Granted you can explore the other areas at 50, so it could happen. But the motivation of my ebonheart to assist the dominion as a whole during the alliance wars doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

OKej okej no dragon expansion but i am pretty sure that there should be at least 3 alive dragons at the time of events of The Elder Scrolls Online so it would be pretty cool if you could meat them and maybe even join dragon worshiping guild(like mage guild, fighter guild, dark brootherhood and etc..)

They should call it "Dragon Tales" and have the dragons with bright colors and talk and play with children.

I didnt mean it like that but it would be cool if you could encounter dragon while playing. He dont even need to be quest related he doesnt even need to speak with you as far as i am concern if i would be able to see sleaping dragon i would be happy with that.

there is no dragon worshiping "guild". and im pretty sure you'd get executed for even suggested the idea, since they were all enslaved by dragons a few era ago.
