Possible to handle master mode without crafting ?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 11:38 pm

I want to start a character playing on master mode.
I plan to not use any kind of smithing or alchemy at all. But I'll use enchanting to create my own magic weapons (not grinding enchanting though, just using it naturally).

So, my question is simple:
Can I hope to handle master mode without creating any potions, and, most importantly, without improving my weapons and armor at all?

Without improving your weapons... ehhhh... maybe?

I'm level 60 now, been on master since the start. My dagger does 75-ish damage and my bow is around 90-ish? My smithing is only 96 and my enchanting is 73 (my gear has either no enchants, or mediocre enchants). I get by without much problem. I really don't use alchemy at all, it's level 96 or so but that was just because I could and I really only made a bunch of junk potions that are now sitting in a barrel in my house.

So yeah, if you had nice double enchanted gear with +damage enchants for weapons you could probably get by well enough. Sometimes my damage feels a bit low but It's enough. After about 100 damage on a weapon things start getting really easy anyway.
