Is it possible to have more than One Char?

Post » Tue Aug 17, 2010 3:38 pm

Ok, I once had a char with over 150 Hrs. I decided to make a new char for fun. when my new char left the vault, it replaced my ONE old file and replaced it with the new.

Now, I have a new char with over 200 hrs with THREE save files. IS it possible to have more than one char?

I am on PS3 GOTY.

You can have multiple characters, just make sure you don't overwrite your saves :)

Also, make sure you make manual save files occasionally instead of mostly relying on autosaves.

Never rely only on the autosave to save your game. Every character you make shares one autosave, so if you make a new character, it will overwrite your old autosave. Always keep multiple saves so that doesn't happen, and manually save often!

Personally, I manually save my game about every 5 minutes, and I usually make a new save every time.

Im still worried, will making a new char over-write all THREE save files?

No. Only the autosave. Every save you have made manually will still be there unless you overwrite them yourself.

Ahh thanks. Its just that my old file had only ONE save, not an autosave. WIll my new file overrite One manual save file?

No, but it shouldn't have overwritten the first save unless you accidentally did it yourself. When you make a save with your new character, just click New Save instead of clicking on your old character's saves, and it will make a new save for the new character.

On 360, each player makes a profile, with all their games. I have three profiles with three characters. Can you do this? It would make saving so much easier, and no headaches or accidents.
