Is it possible to instal Crysis2 with CD Key but no disk?

Post » Mon Jan 31, 2011 2:40 am

Got Crysis 2 delivered woop woop.... but not to my uni address. It is at home but I want to play it now and not in a weeks time when I will be back home.

If my parents give me the CD Key of the disk at home will I be able to instal Crysis 2 without having to wait for the disk??

I haven't read the rules but I'm guessing talk about piracy isn't allowed here. remember you are sharing a file that you download through torrents.

Just tried my retail game key in the EA download manager and it work fine. Download from there

If you upload ANY of the file using a torrent client it IS piracy, or do you think everyone downloading it has a legit key? But whatever, I'm sure talk about downloading the game with torrents is not going to be allowed here.

So, if i recorded amature video of (for an example) my brother's wedding and decided to share it via TT - that's piracy too?

Torrents are about as much designed for piracy as the "save as" link. They're just a means to share large amounts of data. The fact that people use them for illegal copies (which is a moot point if you have a CD-key, you payed for the ability to play, it doesn't matter where you get your copy from) is another story altogether.

Don't pirate games. Just a piece of advice.
Use digital downloads but try to keep track of all the records from where you are buying digitally(not retail) so if you lose it and have license you can claim it back.
