Me and some of my friends (who are big Fallout fans) were sitting at home last night looking for a good sci-fi flick when we stumbled upon Soldier featuring Kurt Russell, and naturally we knew the movie was going to be awesome. As we were watching the movie, we realized that the settlement on Arcadia looks a lot like Megaton! Did any of the development team see this movie? I'd post screenshots, but I can't find any featuring the city itself, just the movie cover. There were parts of the city made out of old buses and planes, there were Christmas lights hanging around, the scenery was definitely giving off a Megaton-y feel.

You pretty much just described every city in every post-apocalyptic film ever; which is pretty much what Megaton is referencing.

Naw. Visually speaking it really is very similar. Soldier was the first thing I thought of the first time I saw a shot of Megaton. A lot of it was actually underghround but from the outside, it looks very much like Megaton.
