While playing the game today I found a holotape labeled "Maxson was right" which detailed a BoS solider who used to think Lyons still had some points, but seeing all the world below the Prydwen taken over by mutants and freaks changed her mind.

During this holotape, the solider mentions seeing buildings taller then anything she had seen before, even some tall enough they almost clipped the Prydwen.

While theres a number of cites between D.C. and Boston, NYC has the tallest buildings of them all, could this holotape have been an indirect reference to NYC?

I thought NYC was nuked into nothing?

NYC has never mentioned as having been nuked to nothing, as far as I am aware

Though it is commonly speculated it was given its importance.

Besides, it's entirely possible it was nuked to nothing but still has a few buildings standings due to PRE-WAR SCIENCE.

The only other besides NYC city with really tall buildings between DC and Boston is Philadelphia, and they have really tall ones....not like NYC though, who have 8 buildings taller than the tallest in Philadelphia, and also has only 3 buildings higher than 800 feet compared to NYC's 22.

Now here is the kicker: they could be referencing Chicago, since there was actually a Fallout game that took place in the American mid-west around Chicago, and it had a lot to do with the BoS.

The Prydwen has never been to Chicago, nor is it anywhere on the path from D.C. to Boston

Ngl kinda surprised there hasn't been any major info on NYC. Guess that kinda proves its nothing but a radioactive dump that gets picked over by scavengers...but then again its New York. America's biggest city. So you'd think there would be something there.
