Is it possible to remove the "drop a fusion core" fu

Post » Sat Dec 05, 2015 3:10 am

Greetings!

My primary character on FO4 was designed to be a Power Armor warrior. As thus, he received all three levels of the nuclear physicist. While i appreceate the enhanced duration of the FCs (although i got plenty of them on stock), i consider the second ability of this perk as extremely annoying: the ability to drop the fusion core as a grenade.

I cannot recall the situations when i wanted to perform a close combat attack with my weapon, or just tabbed out of the game, just to find mysolf droping a fusion core. While there are situations where this is...well...not that bad, a droped fusion core on a crowded place in a city or settlement is no fun at all.

Is there any chance i can remove this ability, or bind it to a seperate key? Or maybe just remove the perk again?

Cheers, Vader

Does that also mean you can't throw a normal grenade in PA with that perk?

Equip a grenade or mine.

Now, if you don't do that because you keep throwing them when you try to melee or tab out, well... wait for thd next patch. Beta version has increased the amount of keys that can be rebound.

I hope they natively allow rebinding to separate those keys but it'll probably be mod only for us PC players.

Even if I'm not launching my core out of my armor I have thrown a lot of grenades at my own feet when trying to melee.

I figured out (i guess) that throwing a grenade (or the FC) is depending on my stance. Standing or running results in melee-attacks, crouching/covering results in grenades/FC drops.

It's holding vs tapping.

As mentioned, just equip a grenade or mine. You only need a tap for a power attack, and hold for grenade toss - stance and movement should not matter.

If you tab out, I recommend pausing the game or opening the pip.
