When I finished building and connecting all of the parts to the teleporter in Sanctuary with the help of Sturges, the next part of the quest is to 'use signal interceptor'. When I talk to Sturges, it starts the next part of the quest, telling me to stand on the platform. However, when I get close to the teleporter, Sturges says a line of dialogue suggesting I chose the dialogue option 'Not ready', and the marker goes back to Sturges again. I've restarted the game, tried with and without power armour, with and without a companion, moved the whole teleporter to a different location, but the problem still persists. Please help, I can't progress through the story. This is on Playstation 4

I was having an issue like that. When. I would connect everything sturges would just hang out at the console and I it would say power it up but I couldn't. So what I did was make another console and place it. When I did that sturges walked away from the first one, so when he was away I stored the first one and placed it down again and connected every thing before sturges got back then went and talked to him. Hope that helps/makes sense

For me, Sturges just hangs out in the house of beds in the settlement, and doesn't go anywhere

PROBLEM SOLVED
I gave up on the problem and went and did some other quests, and when I came back, Sturges was at the console. I thought I might give it a go, and it worked.
