Possible stupidest question ever: How do I turn off the Pre-

Post » Wed Nov 24, 2010 12:14 pm

Search fu is weak.

So far the only way I've found to disable the Caravan Pack is to rename the file extensions.

Why won't it disable when I uncheck it?

FYI, that's not DLC either :P

That's quite odd. Are you loading a new game, or trying a save?

It's downloadable, it's content. It's a DLC to me.

New game or save, both immediately place the items in my inventory.

Steam automatically placed the Pack in my Data folder and it seems it doesn't want to turn off.

Too much too early in the game. I'll activate them if I have nearly equivalent gear to toss away to play fair.

Justing bumping this to mention that apparently it is the CaravanPack.nam file that forces both NV and the NV Geck to always load this DLC.

Removing that one file makes the DLC behave normally again.

Kind of on-topic, so I didn't want to bother making a new topic. This has been bugging me, hoping someone might know.

Why does Steam pop up a little window in the bottom right corner *every single time* I start the game to tell me that it has finished downloading the DLC?!

So annoying :brokencomputer:

It does?

The only thing I get like that is the "Alt-tab to access the Steam Overlay" message if I haven't turned it off.
