Skyrim hates me now... welll the truth is I have the infinite loading glitch which I read is apparently common among many people where you cannot fast travel back to Skyrim from Solstheim. I also remember reading something about how followers will swim back to Skyrim if you dismiss then which I'm not sure is true or not, so I was wondering if it's possible for us to do the same.

I didn't get that option when I swam. You can't FT back to Skyrim?

I don't think it's possible for the player to swim back to Skyrim. Solstheim is a different map separated by a loading screen. You could always try, but don't get your hopes too high.

Yep cannot fast travel either by boat or that floating arrow on the map.

Is this the ultimate 'no fast travel' commitment? Why would you want to swim back to Skyrim?

Whoa thats scary, don't want to go back to solstheim now, being stuck there would be awful. Now that I'm finally sticking with one character after years of restartitus stuff like this terrifies me.

Yup - so on my platform, Xbox, you have to pick a destination on the map and confirm in a dialog box that you want to fast travel to that destination. Bringing up the map in Solstherim or Skyline does not enable this option for the other map. You only see destinations for the Solstheim map or the Skyrim map. So how were you trying to fast travel when you can't see the destination to select? Is it that you want don't want to use the ship? Well, why not use the ship - 'cause you prefer to walk/swim everywhere?

Skyrim and Solstheim have different worldspaces so it really is impossible to swim from one to another.
