Possible third (warfare) party

Post » Sat Jan 11, 2014 12:28 pm

Lets face it, the debates about the Stormcloaks vs the Imperials are endless here on the forums. Why not throw in a third and possible worthy competitor for both Ulfric Stormcloak and General Tullius. Madanach is what I believe a man of great intellect and the man knows a thing or two about warfare, and battling the Nords. The Forsworn are great by numbers and Madanach already (for a short period) owned the entire reach. I also believe Madanach would make an excellent High King. If his interests would reach further then Markarth only, he could be a fearful foe indeed. You think Madanach and the Forsworn could take it up to the Stormcloaks and the Empire and defeat both?

"It'll take years, but I'll organize the Forsworn again. We'll reclaim our land, and then, when power is ours, we'll have peace. A kingdom. Until then, let me offer you a warning. Beware the Forsworn. No place in the Reach is safe from us now."

IMO, anyone who thinks they could is delusional, Ulfric and a group of people sent them packing when they had full control of the Reach, they stand no change against either side.

After a war and having been crippled and spread so thin anything's possible really but you did say in a fair battle so I'm going to have to go with Not possible.

To me they come off as being very ragtag, they've hardly got a base of operations.

The Forsworn would have to rely on Gureilla warfare, they wouldn't stand a chance in an all out confrontational battle.

Definitely not. They couldn't handle a little militia back then, what makes you think they'll handle a more organized militia and a small Imperial Legion?

Perhaps they could, perhaps they couldn't.

The Imperial Army is quite large, and so is the Stormcloak Army(not as large as the Imperials, though)

Forsworn are pretty good with spells, and could conjure up more nasties then Imperial Battlemages(I'd assume)

Ulfric already has experience with the Forsworn, and he kicked them out once. He also has the Thu'um(although that can be easily blocked with a ward)

The Stormcloaks would probably win, though.

Maybe if one or the other sold them out to gain loyalty, then perhaps. alternately if Skyirm sends there men packing to fight the dominion, they may host another uprising. And if the humans lost? I wouldn't say 100% no. They make good guerrilla fighters, with a passionate and honest leader - No flowery words or veiled comments where he is concerned. I personally like the idea of an independent reach, basically another kingdom of High Rock, if you look at it. I think the forsworn are misinterpreted in the game as bad people. No doubt some are, but I think they have a valid cause. Even if they make so unsavoury alliances.

Are blind, I couldn't imagine them going outside with all the noise and being an effective force.

Also.. they would need suntan lotion.

That's like asking if a snake can beat a lion if you remove its fangs and venom.

The Forsworn don't "fight fair." They fight when they can win. They fight in ways to ensure they win. Ambushes, sabotage, subterfuge. These are the tools that guide them to victory. Not marching out in broad day light to get mowed down by the enemy. Why would they ever throw them away?

Not a chance. Even resorting to drastic daedric measures, they've not managed to be but a thorn in anyone's side for three eras of their sorry existence. This doesn't mean that on an individual level they're weak, but they seem to be like the orcs only less socially adapted.

Eh? Not really, maybe if they fought a guerrilla warfare style they could make somewhat of a dent but then again the only real area they know well is the Reach.

I don't think so.

We need lord Hevnoraak and his army for that.

Yea I could see the Thalmor manipulating or persuading the Forsworn to divide Skyrim even further.
