Post patch notes

Few new observations:
1. train tunnel to Nellis fixed - you can go to room in the middle without falling through ground
2. simplified recipe for weapon repair kit - only 1 wrench, 1 wonder glue and 2 scrap metal pieces (was 2/2/3) in addition to scrap electronic and duct tape. Much easier to get materials and make multiple kits.
3. Strange bug with followers: after fight is over Boone starts moaning like he is seriously hurt, check his HP - half gone, give him stimpak, his HP goes to 351 (although he has 315 max?) Boone falls to ground and is unconscious. After while he wakes up and is OK. New bug? Happened twice so far.

ED-E still not there.

Item 3 is not Boone exclusive, happened to me with the mutant (forget her name right now,Lizzy i think). She said she felt ill so i gave her a stimpack (which maxed her health) and then she collapsed unconcious. Had to wait for her to get back up.

Is this a post patch thing, or did that always work for you? Because I tried that prepatch and had no luck, and the flopping happened quite often.

That worked prepatch for me. Or going into the PipBoy does it too.

I still have a bug where my weapon will sometimes dissapear as if it is holsted, sometimes it will appear above or below where it belongs. My Pipboy will also appear above or below the center of the screen. This happened pre-patch and is still happening, does anyone know if starting a new game fixes this? I'm still at the begining and now would be a good time to start over.

Says ed-e is outside nellis array for me. I go inside and it now says my other follower Boone is off map inside the array. Both followers disappeared at different times pre patch. Did this patch fix anything and if so do i have to start over to actually have it take effect? I would love to see some developers answer some of these questions that we have...

You two guys are still following me around harassing me ( in the 360 bug forum), even though you play on the PC. Cool story.
Anyway,

Ghouls still immune to grenade launchers, becoming invincible until you switch to another weapon.
After getting the patch yesterday Xbox 360 version.I started a new game what I noticed Stimpacks are now 110 caps and super stimpacks are 220 caps has anyone else got this.

I would stop holding my breath for ED-E. If he disappeared on you on a pre-patch save, I doubt there's any amount of patching that'll bring him back. It's been explained several times that the patch will be compatible with saved games, but not necessarily fix errors and corrupted data in those saves. It sounds like from your first post, ED-E got stuck somewhere, and since you've saved that data, he is forever stuck. Your best bet is to find an older save file with ED-E still in it.

I have the last save with him in it... I do not care to go back to get him. What is really disturbing is that on the map I have marker showing my other companion (ED-E) stuck on unaccessible ridge, and the name of companion is.. VICTOR!? So this bug is much deeper then just vanished companion.

I've got a waypoint to Victor as well and its at Freeside's North Gate. I didn't go there to check it out. I'm toward the end of the game, so I thought Victor was located (in various securitrons) at the Lucky 38.

Oh well. This is still my 1st playthrough. When I go for hardcoe mode, I'll start a new game and see how bug free it plays.

I started with new char today and at least the "arms above your head" glitch is still there. Havent encountered the pip boy thing tho. Might be nitpicking but i REALLY hate this particular glitch. Why they didnt fix even so obvious one beats me :/

probably because they were rushing to get the patch out for people who were experiencing gamebreaking glitches and decided that this one was minor compared to some of the others and didn't want to waste the time on it.

My post patch experiences:
  • Pre-patch ED-E went back at Primm but attacks me as soon as I enter the shop. This is still the case post-patch.
  • The Abandoned BoS bunker is still locked (if this was intentional due to it being used in future DLC, wouldn't they have just hidden access to it in the first place? Seems rather foolish to show content you can't actually access...)
  • When I first arrived at The Strip, for some reason it had already been determined that I couldn't take the Mr House route through the story. This meant I couldn't see the Cocktail Lounge on the elevator menu. This means I can't get the last snow globe. This is still the case post-patch.
  • I was stuck on Oh Papa due to Melissa vanishing. I can talk to her now and progress, but it appears Colonel Moore has now vanished from Hoover Dam. The quest pointer directs me to her location and I can circle her, but she appears to be invisible. This means I can't investigate the NCR side of things, but at least I should now be able to finish the quest.
  • I lost Boone back around hour 80 of my game. I sent him to the Lucky 38 and he never made it there. I have no idea where he is and had hoped that this patch would return him, it did not.
  • Since I didn't have the Mr House story as an option I didn't get to the robot that allows you to drop your snow globes onto the display in the Presidential suite. I still have no way of doing this.
  • Within 5 minutes of playing post-patch I received the black screen console crash. Although annoying, at least my save wasn't corrupted this time.

I know it is recommended to start a new game or revert to a previous save, but the earliest save I have now is over 124 hours into the game. I really can't be bothered to lose all that hard work

Please please please have a go at a few more retroactive fixes Bethesda

OMG....I cannot open the Legate Gate, the game crashes when I try. I must be very near the end of the game and I still cannot finish it. There are also other (minor) issues at Hoover Dam like when crouching the weapon graphic fragments at times.

Well at least I managed to get another hour added to my 120 hours already spent before it screwed up again. Get working on another patch, and start firing some people.

Hand loader does not unlock all hand load recepies. I found this out when I met a guy in North vegas Square who gave me the .44 hand load. I wonder what others I am missing.
