Antec 900-2 Case
Corsair 850 Watt Power Supply
MSI NF750-G55 mobo
Phenom x4 965 CPU (OC'd to 3.6ghz, stock fan)
GSkill 1600mhz ddr3 ram (7,8,7,24 timings)
EVGA GTX 570 gfx
1TB Seagate 7200 RPM HDD
Samsung Blu-ray Drive
Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card

I try to build a new PC every year with a $1000-1500 budget, selling my previous one for about half. I've found this practice to be the best economically and for performance.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 at 3.4GHz with Tuniq Tower 120 both lapped.
4x1GB OCZ Platinum DDR2-800
Abit IP35 Pro XE motherboard
nVidia GTX 460 1GB (Gainward) at 800/2000MHz 950mV
2TB hdd across 3 drives
Corsair HX520 PSU
all wrapped up in the lovely Coolermaster 690-II Advanced case

Logitech MX Revolution mouse
Microsoft Ergonomic 4000 keyboard
2x Samsung Syncmaster 215TW monitors
Also got a wireless Xbox 360 controller adaptor

Running Windows 7 Pro x64 (got for free through my uni when I was a student) and dual boot with Ubuntu 10.

Apart from the case and the GTX 460, which I bought last summer, this PC has so far lasted me since summer 2008. Pretty damn good, I think!

I was happily playing the Crysis 2 demo on Advanced and 60fps was no trouble. hardcoe (as it was known then), was a bit too blurry for me, and the fps also dropped too much, so Advanced was fine with me.

Is it sad that I'm going to get up extra early tomorrow morning before work so I can have a go on Crysis 2 for an hour? :P

I wont post my Gaming rig because its pointless for this game.. It seems to me it was made for my laptop.
2.1Ghz Dualcore {intel} 4 gigs of ram Windows 7 Ultimate {64 bit} and a tiny little 9600 mobile GPU {1 gig dedicated ddr version} An acer Aspire 8730

Framerates in the high 30s , and is just as dissapointing on the tiny screen as my gaming rig

Right now:
Core i7 920@3.6ghz
12gb DDR3 @ 1600mhz
GTX 295
2x OCZ Vertex 2 SSD in RAID 0
24" 1920x1200 monitor

In a few days:
Core i7-2600k OC'd to as high as it goes
8GB DDDR3 @ 2000mhz
2x GTX 570
2x OCZ Vertex 2 SSD in raid 0 (taken from old build)

Sadly this new build wont really be needed for Crysis 2 as there's no DX11 and its not all that hard to run in the first place.
