post the most fun you had in Fallout: New Vegas

Post » Thu Jul 01, 2010 1:41 am

Hearing about what happened to Corporal Betsy gave me a chuckle.

Yeah that was funny, it made me want to give Cook Cook a Cookie.

But the most fun I had in New Vegas was the ending battle when you side with the Legion.

Giving Cass Vera's outfit from DM and watching her fight Fiends using Love and Hate in a dress heels and pearls. Damn near a religious experience. All legs and fists.

-Boone and I sitting up on a cliff and picking off the Legion in Cottonwood Cove. They are so easy to kill.
-Killing Ceasar in his tent. What a dweeb.
-Getting into Vault 3 and killing everone including Donny and Marie. Heh.
-Hunting Deathclaws, Fiends, Cazadores, etc.

I got bored so I made a seperate save, killed a boomer, stole his rocket launcher and missiles and then firing them at the boomers in the messhall, the limbs of over 20 boomers flying through the air was amazing. And for extra orgismicness use high explosive missiles =D

Getting jiggy in the thorn with Lucy and then giving Lucy's germs to my other booty call in vault 21 (I forget her name)

Role-playing is fun.

Using the C-Finder on a group of robots and watching the carnage is now my most favorite moment in NV. I was giggling for ten minutes.

I hired an NCR Ranger to fight with me via Emergency Radio. She killed Jerry the Punk 3 times on me. Her punishment? I nudged her off a cliff by the abandoned BOS bunker.

I have a lot of great, fun moments. The ones that take the cake are:

Killing Mr. House. Every time is a blast. It really never gets old.

Raining HE Missile death down on Cazadores in the Tribal Village (you can get yourself into a nice high position and then they just fly around wondering WTF is going on... it's wicked sweet to have the advantage over those things)

And the first time I ever killed Caesar.

Late nights + voice chat + me + fallout = loads of fun. Basically just me screaming and killing stuff. I don't know why but it's just so great, god i love the night. I should become nocturnal, now that would be cool.

And lol at Gabe :lmao: Win

Dead Money

the whole thing

This.

I play dead-is-dead, so a death for my character means I start I new one. Currently though I've got a character that has done everything but the main quests (purposefully left all 4 paths open and will decide on one at the end), including dead money. Dead money definitely had me on the edge of my seat. Never felt so in danger before, and that made the victory all the sweeter.

Look I'll give it some comparison with a joke, an altar boy a catholic priest and a fat sweaty guy with big glasses and heavy breathing walks into a bar, the altar boy... Wait... This forum's still PG13 right?

I find that very offensive Gabe, you told the joke wrong. It's suppose to be an altar boy, a catholic priest, a fat sweaty guy with big glasses and heavy breathing, and the pope. Get it right.

Lately I found myself with a new list.

- Meltdown is ALWAYS fun.
- Meltdown chaining is ALWAYS more fun.
- Mercy/Grenade Machinegun firing into lake mead had me giggling for 10 minutes.
- ^- Also firing them at a bunch of fiends and watching body parts fly everywhere.
- For some odd reason, pulling out my calling card, massacring a bunch of people and neatly stacking their bodies only to set them on fire and/or blow them up.
- ^- Same token, killing off the Van Graffs, piling there bodies in a bathroom, and tossing in a grenade while quickly shutting the door after. Always fun.
- ^-- Semi-same toke; going to Nipton, killing Desert Fox and his cohorts, and putting them on the burning tires.
- Using the Right Thumbstick (360) to puck up a body and poke it with a chainsaw real quick (pulling the trigger and backing off), just to watch the body flop around.
- Sneak Attack Critical hitting Ceasar's head inside his own tent with an AMR.
- Ocassionally going back to powder ganger territory, getting hit with Powder Ganger "Assassins" and blowing them away with one shotgun blast.
- Watching 2 Cazadores rip a Deathclaw apart.
- Making my brother Ragequit FNV due to my Stimpack count thanks to the Seirra Madre Vending Machines.
- Talking to No-Bark and wondering WHY HE WASN'T MADE A COMPANION.
- Glitching out and getting the self proclaimed "Exploded Skull Glitch". What? This had me giggling and scratching my head for hours.
- Killed Ceaser
Spoiler
after performing brain surgery
his body glitched out and started spazzing everywhere, eventually launching itself into the tent entrance.

The version I heard was without the pope, I bet the one with the pope is even juicier.

I had a couple of funny things happen to me today:

I started a new character, a tribal, he runs around with pretty low level weapons and clothing with no stimpacks, when I ventured east of Nipton up in the hills I made enemies with around a dozen Bighorners.
And let me tell ya'll that fighting a [censored]load of bighorners with a gimped Melee character is [censored] hilarious.
I was screaming for mercy while trying to avoid the beasts and barely made it out alive, after the whole event I went to find Eddie and saw he was lodged in a rock and bugged out of it just as I came up to him.

I also had a couple of funny friendly fires with [Super Slam] and Eddie, I can't explain it, it's just hilarious when I want to hit something for fun (like a bottle on a table or something) and accidentally hit Eddie and send him flying across the room.

In Nipton Town Hall I also had fun with running for my life from Mongrels while wearing a knife and Bright Brotherhood clothing.

After I went out the backdoor of Helios One I hear a BIG [censored] noise and my character was hurt for a couple of hit points.
I was [censored] scared as hell!
Then I move two steps and it sounds like a freaking train is falling on top of my character.
I stand completely still... Then rush the [censored] away from the door only to find Lady Gibson sitting in the air with her dogs around her.
I went up to talk to her and got hit bu the invisible noise again.
Re-talked to her and she became hostile along with the entire NCR squad there.
Deliciously buggy.

Oh and Boone, dear sweet emotional Boone... How I love to punch your head out of the Dino mouth.

Just barely, I made a character who looks like Abraham Lincoln. So I took him to the NCR Correctional Facility and after exploring the south and eastern parts of the surrounding area I found the back entrance to Black Mountain along with three evolved Centaurs. At level four this is pretty scary, so I ended up using a combination of Dynamite and a low condition Incinerator to fry/explode them to bits. Only to turn around to see the sight of about three Giant Rad Scorpions running at me, after dealing with them in a similar manner I proceeded to run like hell through Scorpion Gulch using up almost all of my 9mm ammo that I had compiled at this point in the game. Upon exiting the gulch, with next to nothing in the way of ammo or meds and my 9mm Sub-Machine gun about to break I barreled through the remaining scorpions and found Helios One. Rejoicing I heading down south towards Novac only to have Old Lady Gibson glitch at attack me. XD I came out of it alive though probably my funnest time playing New Vegas since it was released.

In general? Using 'The Burned Man' and calling F:BoS 'The Burned Game'. I'm so proud to see my joke become a forum wide joke :cryvaultboy: (Tears of joy)

In game? Fire Axe and fiends. :disguise:

Im glad I FINALLY understand that joke now, I will never say the name of that abomination again.

For some reason one of the most fun things I did in the game was Three Card Bounty, just felt good giving those bastards what they deserved.

Walking out of the Fort and finding that the Freeside Thugs I had tried to evade and ignore had wiped out the entire local population that had risen up to fight for me. One thug stood triumphantly over the bodies of Grecks (a downtrodden ghoul), Hoff (the chemist that makes medicine/fixer for the Brotherhood), Bill Ronte (the machinist who maintains the purified water pipes), and that Kings Gang Member who gives you free stuff because your reputation is good with Freeside.

My laziness allowed one thug to basically destroy the community by murdering all of its important people (save The King), in addition to Grecks. Oh, and he decapitated Hoff and Ronte.

AT the end in Hoover Dam, I was grabbing and throwing legion and ncr bodies off the dam. I happen to somehow throw myself oover the wall and had a long, embarrasing fall.
