The opening speech of Fallout: New Vegas

Post » Wed Oct 20, 2010 12:03 am

I already pre-ordered, do all this info have to keep trickling out reminding me how long it will be before I can get my hands on the CE? I feel like I did as a kid waiting for Christmas, counting the days until the release date (and I am way to old for that). :)

Man I scrolled away from the page the first time I saw it but then my curiosity got the best of me

....I just couldn't resist listening to Ron Perlman (even with all the crap in the background)
he's right next Morgan Freeman in my book of great narrators

I just read the text below and pictured(?) how Perlman would say it. and it was amazing.

The only real spoiler I felt ruined a bit for me was learning who the shooter was. uuggghhh.....someone please volunteer to hit me over the head with a 9 iron to forget spoilers and maybe even be in a coma till it releases?

It would be my honour to beat you to within an inch of your life. :toughninja:

Also must resist spoilers. Musn't go over..to the dark side. :ahhh:

The experience isn't so different than with reading all the [censored]. But seeing it, will make a difference in the end. I'm sure.

Am I right in that this is an approved release of the recording?
(It has the official MTV logo branded on it ~putting them on the hook; and its not been taken down in the six hours since it's posting).

~serious question for anyone in the know.

Do you really think you're missing something you'd regret lately, that can't be better then than now? At this day and age of gaming?

I'm going to fight the temptation, and wait to listen to the opening speech when I play New Vegas. But I can tell you that he probably talks about how

Spoiler
War never changes.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but let me clarify. What I meant was that if I'm seeing it for the first time it'll probably seem better than if I have already seen it.

Where did this day and age come into it?

When it was first posted I saw a couple Mods stop by and even some Devs so I guess they say it's ok.

To be fair, mods and devs probably don't know what the PR guys are doing. Then again, maybe they do- Gstaff probably does.

Not if they left to inform lawyers :)
(Though you may be right as the thread would have certainly discontinued if that were the case).

Much better written than Fallout 3. This one focuses more on the story, and less on the apocalypse. Ron Perlman shouldn't have to explain the nuclear war every time anyway.

Caesar's Legion is sounding more badass all the time.

Their outfits kind of svck but I imagine the years of verbal abuse because of it have only made them stronger.

I always think that with "spoilers" (if you can call this a spoiler) I'll never watch them, or read, to save me from ruining it.
But come 20 mins later I cannot help myself.

It always sends a shiver up my spine when Ron Perlman switches to explain who the PC.
