Same friends, same servers

Post » Wed Oct 20, 2010 3:00 am

Team based FPSs benefit the most of friend groups and "regulars" servers. It's the best way of finding real teamwork, playing in a higher skill level environment and, with adequate admins, it's the only real defense against cheating. However, establishing a server community and friend group takes some time, during which you play in a low teamwork, low skill and higher cheating possibility (as low as it may be) environment.

So, do you plan on trying to reunite your same friend group/server community from a previous game you're already playing? Which game's groups do you think will be easiest to move to Brink?

(I just hope to find one of the amazing tf2 communities I've been part of, as soon as possible after the game release)

A lot of TF2 regulars will definitely be migrating to Brink. :)

I've played TF2 and Battlefield: Bad Company 2 the most prior to Brink in terms of multiplayer, but I'm a server drifter in those games.

If you're looking for a clan or community, check the clans and fansites thread stickied above. Otherwise, take your pick among the loony bin here. :flamethrower:

Unfortunately I don't have many regular groups I'm playing with and not a lot of friends who play the same games (or on the same platform) either.

Back in the days I played with a group in R6V2, which was great fun. And I had a bunch of people with who I played APB. But currently I play on my own.

Team HeXus is here to create a competitive environment and fair play in a designated server lookout for it if you are willing
to do some in-game net-working and are into playing the legitimately we've been playing delta force from 99' and we've finally decided to
sink our fangs into a p2p game.Hopefully we will be able to establish a healthy competitive community with good communications

I know a handful of Assassin's Creed fans who have confirmed they'll be coming to Brink when it's out.

And a few local freerunners and Traceurs who are interested (for obvious reasons).

I'll probably have a decent team to put together.

This. Me and my freinds have been looking for a great team based shooter for a while. We tried CoD and realized than Call of Duty + Team Work = joke. We've been playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 and it is a decent team game but Dice made some stupid decisions and you cannot join a match with more than 3 of your friends. We are hoping that Brink is our solution.

Since how TF2 is nowadays, I'm sure http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfJ37G2_l9w a lot of TF2 players will migrate to BRINK like how geese migrate to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7PGKcikaGY for the winter.

4 years later and and over 3000 hours on TF2, I am looking forward to Brink big time! One of the things that drew me to TF2 was the emphasis on Team work in the game, for the most part Tf2 shines when people play together to attain a common goal of winning a round. Sadly I've gotten tired of it for the simple fact half the times people are not playing as teams like they used to and the objectives are non-existence other than capture the intel or push the cart, that's it. Just like TF2, Brink has drawn me in with the teamwork and whats look like to be a quite bit of objectives side missions to the game to keep it lively for everyone and looks like it's gonna be a classic and popular game like TF2 for years to come, just hope Splash Damage would take Valve's ideology on updates for Brink as well after release, Just don't go crazy with HATS! lol.

I haven't been part of a game server community since I played CS so I won't be moving anybody. I only know a handful of guys on PS3 (not an on-line community, we're all friends) so I may be talking a few of them into it.

I actually excel at taking randoms and turning them into groups, and then we usually game for the day and then part ways at the end.

Are you on PS3 because UBN is always looking for new members.
