Jail Script

Post » Wed Oct 20, 2010 3:52 pm

Is the script that the guards use to give options to NPC/Player (IE send the player to jail, resist arrest, pay fine) hard coded in?

I am trying to make a script that when my actor is prosecuted and does not have enough money said actor follows guard to jail.

Also is it me or does the search function on cs wiki not work.

New thing: Anyway to force a npc to steal or trespass? (not sure if NPCs are affected by the latter)

Not sure about the jail scripts offhand, but yes, the search function in the CS is broken. You have to do what you can with the text search instead, since that does work.

Actually the OP was saying that the search function in the CS wiki wasn't working. It works, but isn't great. It won't search for partial matches, but it will find words in titles or in the contents of pages. Now I thought that if you don't have enough gold to pay the fine, you don't get the option. You only get the option to resist arrest or go to jail, so I'm not sure what the OP is trying to do.

I am talking about when a npc/actor commits a crime.

That has been discussed before - lots! I don't think there's a workable solution. You might try searching in the mods forum - one of the guard overhauls might have something in it. SkyCaptain also did a quick little mod to stop NPC's from fighting - sort of tackling the problem from a different angle. I think it was called NPC Friendly Fire.

I think I see it now but not exactly as I wanted but o well, you cant always get what you want. So this will have to do.
