Stupid CoC is Stupid.

The Order of the Sacred Blood wasn't made up of vampire hunters (except for the CoC of course), it was basically a neighborhood watch committee.

It was more like old men going senile and pretending to be vampire hunters in their secret clubhouse. Hell, they formed a group of 'vampire hunters' despite the fact that none of them had ever seen a vampire, nor found evidence of one. Sounds a lot like children's games to me. Nice tapestries though.

Those were from their old club, they were the SAS, or society of aging seamsters.

If it makes a lick of difference, my chars were never stupid, just adrenaline junkies.

Anyway. Compare this story with the petty betrayals and traps in Oblivion. Vampire hunters being lead by some one who looks like one? Giving a Lich his hand back because he made peace with the gods? Or even buying the house because it's so damn cheap. If you felt gullible in Tribunal, you must have been clawing your eyes out in Oblivion.

True. Morrowind did have a few badly designed situations where the PC felt a little gullible but Oblivion takes the cake. I mean, even if your whole intelligence was drained, you were an orc with half of your brain missing do to extensive drinking you'd still be able to figure out some of the most retarded traps. The traps were so retarded they were basically like "See that X mark? Go stand on it and you will not be crushed by the log pile directly above it." - Necromancer
