Which is your favorite Daedric prince?

Post » Fri Oct 29, 2010 5:16 pm

Dagon for a simple reason: He was the only of the Princes who refused to bow down to the Aedra protecting the mortals on Mundus, which was actually a plane of Oblivion (if you believe Mankar Camoran, that is). The Nine cut this plane of Oblivion from the rest, thus violating the Daedric sovereignty, which only Daegon sought to fight for. He protected his honor, unlike other Princes (mostly Azura). And it was also he who stood alone against ALMSIVI as they used Lorkhan's essence to turn themselves into gods. He attacked Mournhold while Azura and the other "good" Princes watched their followers being hit full-force by the Temple's Inquisition.

Azura. The main character is an Azura worshipper, and as I love Ashlanders...

The Nerevarine isn't necessarily an Azura worshipper.

Nerevar himself worshiped Azura but the Nerevarine is just a reincarnation, and the person is also from Cyrodill even if he/she is a Dark Elf. The person's religion is unknown and they can join either or both religious institutions in game as well as do tasks for Daedric Princes. They do a lot of Azura's dirty work but that's not the same as worshipping her outright.

Boethiah is my favorite of the three "Good Daedra" by the way, if for no other reason than he/she is the Warrior and the most honest and outwardly bloodthirsty of the three, not hiding behind poetry or mysticism like her brothers/sisters. Almalexia, the supposed champion of Boethiah, reflects this same personality very well during battle, being one of the most ferocious foes you'll face in the game.

Hard question. Either Mephala, Meridia or Mora.

The problem with that is that so far all indications seem to speak against the Mystic Dawn having the right. Mehrunes Dagon simply wanted to do what is his nature: To destroy.

Hircine, I love Sheogoraths depiction in SI, but Hircine is consistent, and he could be brought back in Skyrim! Atleast werewolves could make a comeback. Hircine is apart of the P.I.M.P. club of the Daedric Princes.

BTW, there is a contest going on for anyone interested in doing FanArt of their favorite Daedric Prince. You can find it here: http://tes-fans.deviantart.com/

I say Hircine because he is constantly portrayed as the master of the hunt, even if I disagree with the "need to hunt 'innocents'" thing that was established in Daggerfall... but somewhat toned down while being turned up in Bloodmoon (need to hunt more often, but it didn't matter if they were 'innocent' or not.) Oh yeah, and because he has no less than three artifacts attributed to him: The Cuirass of Savior's Hide (made by the Hero of the Battlespire), Hircine's ring, and the Spear of Bitter Mercy (Also introduced as his in Battlespire, dunno why Sheoggorath had it in Morrowind.)

Dagon can't seem to get his sphere right in any of the games, and really loves diving into the spheres of Molag Bal, Boethia, and occassionally even Mephala and Namira.

Azura. I love the way she can come across as wise and compassionate at one moment, and utterly ruthless and manipulative the next. She's the perfect example of why the Daedra Lords can't really be judged by mortal standards of good and evil.

...I'd still run like hell if I ever met her, though.

I picked Sheograth because 1-he has his own set of islands 2-he gave me a nice looking spear and 3-Because he was close to the top.

I picked Hircine because: 1) He's bad ass, 2) He's really bad ass, 3) He's extremely bad ass, and 4: Bloodmoon was an awesome icy-tundra adventure.

Also, WEREWOLVES, and he's bad ass :P.

My vote goes to the Madgod.

I've been a fan of his for awhile, and was speechless when I first heard Shivering Isles was in development.
(
Spoiler
The fact that I'm him has nothing to do with it, I promise
)

Nocturnal comes in as second. She's always interested me for some reason.

Who would ever think of a squid as intelligent?

You obviously don't know a lot about squids.
