You know that the Strip is a walled enclave inside of Vegas, so I think that most of Vegas will be ruins.

Edit: Uncapatalized "enclave" to avoid confusion. I was talking about a walled area sourrounded by ruins, not the faction.

I'm not 100% sure though,

In some vids, it shows a guy running around some ruin type areas..

Walled Enclave?

Enclave isnt a Fallout exclusive term. In general it applies to a group people that are a small introverted community. The Western BoS is an example of an enclave.

OMG the Brotherhood of Steel has joined the Enclave!!1!!! :shocking:

:vaultboy:

I also would like to see a city of some sorts or another place with lots of buildings that isn't occupied by friendly NPCs.

Well he shouldn't have written it like this "ENCLAVE" and just written "enclave" and perhaps a little "(Not the faction)".
It's confusing for one who's not from an english speaking country. ;)

Nah, don't worry about, I seldom meet people from here who knows what it means too xD. I just explained it to clear up the confusion for you (I've seen it happen with native English speakers too. )

I hope not. DC was meh. You couldn't go anywhere without dropping into the same copy-pasta metro tunnel you came out of and hoping the game doesn't glitch you back out where you came in at the other end.

I'm hoping there will be some labyrinthine tunnels: flood control, sewers, water treatment pipes, etc.
I always enjoyed playing characters in FO3 that specialized in clearing the underground maps...

There will be ruins but they'll be more colorful, a lot more colorful.

well if theres not enough wreckage around for you you can always beat up Fantastic to get your hands on the orbital lazer beacon to make your own bounicing piles of rubble.

after all nothing says "Open to fire" and "Time to reload" like a solar powered lazer cannon that can only fire once a day.

You just had to use the word enclave, you knew it would create confusion. Well, now everyone here knows a little bit more. The more you know :fallout:

Anywho, The Vegas area was not directly hit by nukes, so the strip will be intact, but they did say there are areas in the gmae that were hit. So there might be a town in the corner that is nothing but wreckage. However, it won't take up such a huge portion of the map.

Well maybe we'll see some warzone areas that have been destroyed by the conflict between NCR and Caesar's Legion. That would be interesting. Nipton and other places that have been attacked by the Legion look like interesting places, and there are sure to be some destroyed forts around. Oh, and Hoover Dam was a warzone that looks like it might be fun to explore. Just look at that giant cannon.
