Tutorial sought

Is there a way to create new critical hit camera paths or to control the camera in VATS using the keyboard (during the camera shot)?

Does anyone know of any tutorials that could apply to this? I'm hoping this can be accessed with a custom script and key binding?
I have never tinkered with the cameras yet and am looking for some related examples to study.

I also had a mind to script certain events (and camera paths), record, and convert them to Bink videos for in mods.

(I'm looking for a script based solution rather than importing it all into Blender. It would be much better to render it out with the game.)

Has no one tinkered with controlling the camera via script or creating new camera paths?

I think most if not all of VATS is hardcoded. I have never done anything with it, though, so that may not be true. But, if it is, then there isn't really anything you can do with it. I SERIOUSLY doubt controlling with the keyboard would be remotely possible. Perhaps someone else can proove otherwise, or come up with some better evidence to proove either way.

There are path nifs for the cameras used in VATS; but I'd be happy with just a way to bump or nudge the camera (via script) during the regular exploration.

1) First create your own camera shots.

In your object window, Go to Spcial Effect -> Camera Shots. You can see other VATS camera shots and use those as example.

Once this is done. Have your weapon ready.

2) Go to Gameplay -> Camera Path, and duplicate existing one, like Fatman, for example.

and remove the duplicated camera shots and insert the camera shots that you created from above step(1).

Use the condition: GetVATSvalue, Weapon is: Weapon: in the root of the camera shot you duplicated.

This looks cool, I'll try that out. Thanks. :tops:
