Dialog variables?

I was wondering if there were any set dialog variables, like %PCName used in Morrowind - that variable allowed you to display the player's name in an NPC's response. Thanks in advance.

I may be wrong, but I think that functionality was lost in oblivion, and thus fallout.

Meh. I was afraid of that. I guess I'll have to think of something else, like "kid" or the like. Thanks.

The players name is only saved as a variable you can use in text, as dialog cannot recognize variables and things like that. Just say something like Kid, or if you want a line for boys and girls say like Miss or Mr so its gender specific.

I'm making a companion and "kid" doesn't really fit into my character concept. I may have to go with it or use "Mac" or something like that. Thanks again.
