One Last Time

So with Skyrim on the way, I've decided to make a new character and do everything that I possibly can in the game.

I'll be playing on my favorite builds.

Race - Breton
Birth Sign - Apprentice
Class - Custom
Attributes - Intelligence and Endurance
Major Skills - Blade, Blunt, Block, Destruction, Restoration, Light Armor, and Speechcraft

Not really sure why I like this particular build, it just worked for me and I enjoyed playing it.

I'm going to make a list of all the things I'll try to do. I'm definitely not a master at this game so I'll need lots of suggestions :D

---------
List
---------
1 - Do the Main Quest
2 - Fighter's GuildQuests
3 - Mage's Guild Quests
4 - Thieves Guild Quests
5 - Knights of the Nine
6 - Shivering Isles Main Quest
7 - Close all Oblivion Gates
8 - Get all unique items (Umbra, Fin Gleam, Cheydinhal shield, etc.)
9 - Buy all the houses and everything for them
10 - Get all skills, major and minor, to 100.
11 - All the Daedric Shrine Quests
12 - Beat the Arena
13 - Dark Brotherhood Quests
14 - Get all the Nirnroots
15 - Get Armour from every city
16 - Full sets of every kind of armour
17 - Full set of Master Alchemy equipment

Yeah, I'm out of stuff to do O_o

Post anything you can think of that's not on the list and I'll add them tomorrow. Night <3

Thanks! :)

I doubt you can do everything, such as close all oblivion gates. Some gates take HOURS to destroy.

Collect all the nirnroots (306 total, and some of them are in unlikely places)
Collect all the zero-weight clothing (dark wide pants, shirt with suspenders, rugged pants, beggars shirt, etc.)
Collect at least one each of every city's shield and cuirass
Collect full sets of all the normal armor and weapons in the game.
Gather a full set of master alchemy equipment
Finish EVERY quest - not just the guild ones, but all the side ones as well, including the unrecorded ones.
Finish KotN with all the named knights still alive.
Finish the Battle for Bruma with all the named NPCs still alive - Jauffre, Baurus, Burd, etc....

More if I think of more....

I wouldnt take blade and blunt as majors. Leveling up one weapon skill is a pain and in my honest opinion 2 is a nightmare. It will be more better just to focus on 1 either blade or blunt. Dont need both from what I have seen. Replace the second with a skill like armorer for the simple reason with a weapon, armor, and maybe shield (incase of using a 1 handed weapon) you will need the ability to repair them. Having armorer as a major will grant you faster acess to repairing enchanted weapons.

Every location found is one that will take you a fair few hours as it is and is well worth doing. There are lots of areas out there that do not as such have markers but are still well worth trying to find such as all of the Aylied Wells. I'm currently halfway through trying to make a map of these myself.

Every spell for sale in the game would also not be a bad way to go. If you are looking to max out all of the skills then this is worth doing and well help in lots of ways. Don't forget there are a lot of quest related spells that you can get aswell, or you could even try getting a scroll of every spell if you want to make it that much harder.

Master Alchemy equipment isn't that hard but can it takes a long while for it to come avaiable for you is the only problem with that.

I would strongly suggest to not forget about training 5 points in a skill every level aswell as this is no doubt going to help you get all the skills to 100 aswell. Also you could think of doing all of the Master Quests for every skill aswell and it should give you some interesting times.

Prehaps a pelt/reageant from every non-humanoid creature in the game aswell could be a challange.

As for skills I would drop Blunt personally and just focus on Blade as they normally have a lower carry weight attached to them. This does allow you to take another skill instead that would help while leveling and questing. If one of your two main attributes is Endurance I would strongly consider taking an Endurance based skill to help increase it such as Armorer although you could even swap Light Armor for Heavy Armor to help with this.

Prehaps a good place to start would be to work your way round every quest avaiable to you in each town/city before you move on to the next place. You could start by doing the quests in the Imperial City for instance and then do the Arena while you are there, (Just don't forget to do the Grey Princes Quest before you challange him.)

So if a character finishes all the quest lines, and does all the side quests, then when one hits TAB, opens the journal, and looks at the number of completed quests listed there, how many will it say are completed? In other words, what is the maximum? At what number will one know that there are no more quests to do (or, at least, quests that show up in the journal)? And, when following the main Shivering Isles questline, does it matter whether one picks Mania or Dementia? Does one or the other raise the number of quests completed? I also, like the original poster, am looking to complete everything.
