is it me or is the flaws in morrowind fixed in oblivion and the flaws in oblivion are fixed in morrowind

It's definitely not just you.

I think Oblivion improved on Morrowind in a few ways, most notably for me this would be poisons.

Whereas I feel Oblivion lost out to Morrowind in a fair few more ways, such as the lack of any reason to explore.

I'm not even going to mention level scaling.

I agree. There are parts of Morrowind I want to extract out and drop into Oblivion and vice versa. Some nice things in Morrowind that I would really like to drop into Oblivion that it really lacked in places.

Don't get me started on level scaling.
