Basic console commands for adding containers

.
Hello People.

Back when I first ran through FO3, I added lots of furniture to my various dwellings, using console commands. Now, years later, I've forgotten how to accomplish these simple tasks. Shame on me for not retaining the knowledge. Please help me remember a few things.

1. Must I install the GECK to place furniture or containers in my current game save? (Yes or no)

2. To place a new container, I use the "player.placeatme" command from the console, with an appropriate item code, correct?

3. Must the item code be included in brackets or parenthesis, or just like this: player.placeatme ITEMCODE

4. Will you please direct me to a list of common item codes on the web? Specifically, I'm looking for the codes for ammunition boxes and lockers. I just want to add basic storage items - nothing more than that.

5. If you are aware of a "player home" mod, including a waypoint, that doesn't include over powered items, but has plenty of storage and ease of access, please recommend one for FO3.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Cheers!

Console commands would be a very time consuming and difficult way to add furniture to the game.
You should use the GECK to place the items easily and exactly where you want them without typeing a bunch of SetPos and SetAngle commands in the console.

You may find the WIKI is a valuable resource.

My home mods are always over-powered if you have no self control. :)
