I am surprised not much talk is going on about the Kinect or the Move lately. I am thinking of getting a Kinect for me and the kids. So how do you guys and girls like it? What games do you like, and what games don't you like?
Same for the PS3 move. I will not get one, because I don't want to be buying 2 controllers to play it, and that would end up costing the same as the Kinect I believe. I could be wrong here, so please correct me if I am. How do you like the Move? What games are good for it and what games do people need to stay away from? I am shocked there is no talk about the Move at all but alot of news sites talk about the Kinect.
How is your experiances on it? Good, bad, or ugly? Do you recomend it? What games do you recomend?
Please don't turn this into a Kinect vs The Move. I included The Move so I am not leaving PS3 users out as well who may like to talk about thier platform fun.
I have a wii, which is basically the same expirience as playstation move.
There are 2 kind of game at Wii that use these controls:
The casual min-game games like wii sports, and the traditional games like mario or zelda.
Regarding party games,I'd say that they are not on my taste.
Yeah, they are extremely fan when you have your friends and play let's say 4 player multiplayer, but for buying 2 separate controllers that cost 70 euros for each player is something somewhat expensive IMO,unless everyone brings his own controllers, but again my friends don't have wiis,so I only played those party mini games the first week.
Regarding "traditional" games I will have to say that I liked the new controlls but without getting excited about them.
Wii controllers have both an anologue stick and d-pad so you can play games like that while sitting, which is something nice.
What I found most nice wasn't the gimmick of moving my arms to do things, but the fact that as there are two parts and you can hold each part on each hand,it lets you place your hands at a distance one from the other, which makes playing more comfortable than with a traditional controller that you have hold in the air all the times.
I mean I would just sit leaving one arm sitting to my one leg,and the other hand to the other leg,and move my wrists.
The fact that you can just let your hands sit anywhere and keep playing is something good because you don't have to have your arms raised all the time at a position that might become uncomfortable after some hours of playing.
After my xbox360 died for the 4th time,I didn't bothered getting another one so now I only play at my gaming pc or wii.
And I can say that having used to these two very different control schemes,it's too difficult for me to go back to the traditional controllers.
Pc gives me optimal accuracy because of it's mouse, and when I have to sacrifice the accuracy I play at wii which makes up because it's lot's more comfortable to play.
I still have the xbox 360 controller attached to my pc,but anytime I try to play games using it,I see that I miss lot's of accuracy, and that my hands get tired by not having them resting and I turn back to mouse+keyboard immediately.
