Mirror's Edge 2 Cancelled

Post » Thu Nov 25, 2010 12:39 am

Like, woah. I'm really shocked.

I actually agree with Revo for once

Still, they haven't actually went 'You'll never see your precious Mirror's Edge 2 again... it's cancelled!' They've just said 'Dude, no big deal, we thought it wasn't working so we're putting it on hold for now, and rerouting the staff to work on another game.'

Revo, get your facts straight. :P

Let's clean keep this thread on topic and flame free; many posts were just removed and if I have to do another clean up like this the posts will be reviewed by a very grumpy moderator.

Pity Mirror's Edge was a cool game and a sequel would have been great. I only wished that they combine it with Ghost in the Shell:SAC---now THAT would be a game, but alas all good things... .

GRAAAARRRR!!!

I loved the original Mirror's Edge! I felt like I actually had to try to interact with the environment and play the game as it was intended to be played! The playthrough without every picking up a weapon was so much fun...

Sounds like I'll be waiting a while before another truly challenging platformer comes out, let alone a first person one... :\

I just hope they don't think that the lack of multiplayer was the reason that Mirror's Edge did not sell well. http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/11/29/ea-games-boss-says-mirrors-edge-fell-short/

I absolutely hated the first one with a passion. While it svcks that they won't get the chance to use the idea to make a game that's actually any good I can't say I care much.
