Questions about T.I.E.

Post » Mon Nov 29, 2010 2:28 am

I've been looking at the Tamriel Immersion Experience mod for a while, trying to decide whether or not to get it, and I still have a few questions that I hope the community can answer for me.

1. Does T.I.E. alter gameplay for classes other than a Stealth-based character? e.g. Mage - I read that it was made primarily for Thief characters, and I'm worried that it would affect me negatively if I wanted to play as a mage.

2. Is it compatible with FCOM and other overhaul mods? e.g. Supreme Magicka, LAME, Midas

Those are all I can think of at the moment, and I hope that someone can enlighten me (Or point out a stupid mistake I made in missing something glaringly obvious in one of the many F.A.Q.'s).

TIE is not compatible with FCOM or OOO. Wait for Corepc to release the revamped TIE4MODs, and then you can use that ("best of both worlds" sorta deal...) Please, excuse me if you have already read this: http://www.dreamingthepyramid.net/TNR-TIE.html.

TIE is very, very hard for new characters. As a mage you'll have a tough time killing anything more than rats, unless you have summons, which would make it a bit easier. Basically when I tried T.I.E I got 2 shotted by everything, and couldn't advance in any quests or dungeon dive because I couldn't kill anything lol. The other stuff it adds is amazing though...so it's up to you, if you're really good at Oblivion you might find it a bit easier.

Ehh, happens with OOO and FCOM too. I can get killed by rats with the right combination with FCOM...but that's FCOM; however, I have not heard TIE being harder than OOO. You get used to the dying though, so no worries. :D

I'll add my question in if thats okay.

Is TIE configurable? There are some things I don't care for in the mod.

As always, the best place to find specific answers to any question would be the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1070233-relz-tamriel-immersion-experience-tie-v127/
