Hi people i have had this idea in my head for awhile now PLEASE NOTE: Im in no way a modder i CANT MAKE MODS DONT KNOW HOW TOO heck i dont even own a pc thats able to play fallout 3 or new vegas. So this is a idea for someone that CAN mod anyway here is my idea. REMEMBER THIS IS ASSUMING YOU HAVE BROKEN STEEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND DID NOT DESTROY THE CITADEL!!!!




Remember telling elder lyons about the super mutants coming form vault 87? well if you tell him and you have already helped with the water quests and killed all the enclave Elder Lyons will give you a quest to destroy vault 87 and to find out more information about the super mutants on terminals and bring the data to him.

For your quest depending if you killed Sara Lyons or not he will give you a good amount of brotherhood soldiers and Sara Lyons to go with you to vault 87. If you killed Sara Lyons he will send "Paladin Rick" with you including the standard brotherhood soldiers.

When you reach and get into vault 87 the same way you did to get into it to get the GECK there will be more super mutants this time ALOT MORE and there will be terminals that have the info to bring back to Elder Lyons. The terminals wont have been there when you do the story missions but pretend they where there all that time

HERE ARE SOME IDEAS THAT THE QUEST CAN END:

1.You have to reach the main power generator in the Vault with a science skill of 78? you can rig the main power Generator to have a serious malfunction and blow up in 7 minutes? you have 7 minutes? to escape the vault from the way you came in. REMEMBER the main vault door is blocked by rads so you cant go out the front way.




2.This idea will involve the super mutant blood samples "QUEST" Paladin Tristan gives you to kill super mutants and to take the blood samples off them.

The brotherhood of steel devolpes a new weapon from the help of the mutant blood samples you gathered You enter the vault 87 and kill ALL the super mutants with it. This idea i think is not as good as the first one sorry

I think that most people interested in making quest mods would rather work on something that they come up with themselves, instead of basing it off a basic idea someone throws at them.

But why are you interested in this if you wouldn't even be able to play it yourself?

Let me get it straight. You post an idea that only you think is good, you demand that someone make it for you, you yell at people when they don't answer your "request", and you think that if someone actually makes this they will give you credit. Gosh, learn to mod or [censored] off.

The internet isn't a magical place full of magic, it's another medium of communication. Just as you would write a letter using certain rules, you should adhere to certain rules online, as well. (Or, in your case, messages on xbox live)

I understand, it's ok. We've all been 12, it's something you grow out of, in time. Eventually you'll understand that the internet isn't something for "nerds", or "geeks", and that indeed such classifications are essentially meaningless outside of the schoolyard, it's just a method of communication.

Text is all we have on the internet. Not all of us have such short attention spans that we won't read an entire post, there's really no need to type in all caps, it doesn't make anybody more likely to read what you have to say - indeed it will put many people off. Consider that if you had been courteous, rather than abrasive, this thread would not have derailed into us vs you, significantly improving this mod's chances of existence.

By this point I'd reccomend asking a moderator to lock the thread, and then trying to make the mod yourself when you have access to the GECK. It's really not that hard, and we'll even help you - there's a whole subforum dedicated to it.

Typing everything in caps is actually less likely to make people read it.

i suppose th is is a good time to tell the OP to save h is proverbial breath. modders around here never take requests. EVER which is a shame for those who can't quite grasp how modding works but have great ideas. (i've tried before. don't get me wrong i've tried it before but the most i could do was some simple CS teaks which as a result i only have one mod to my name) as a result making a request thread will just get you flamed

Well im not that good with comps but when i get my new one i will get the geck do you have to buy the geck? and i only posted this idea so that if someone had some free time and wanted to make it they could it continues the whole Elder Lyons vs super mutant thing

You do not, it is free, but obviously requires FO3 to be installed. It's really not that complicated, you don't need a great deal of knowledge to work it - if you have an idea, and want to see it through, that should be all the motivation you need.
