G.E.C.K error

Ok so ive installed fall out 3 and the expansions now i wanna get into making some mods and maps so i download geck and the update and install it put the files in the external hard drive with the fall out 3 files update it then run it, it opens fine and opens all the fall out 3 info fine but when i got to save it no matter what drive i choose it says "invalid directory"

I am running windows 7 on a mac on boot camp at first i thought the externals default software was causing permission errors but nothing i tryed to change in that respect has any help and i cant install it on the windows partition because i dont have enough disk space left

any help in this matter would be nice

You cannot change the directory of where the plugin you are making is saved. It must be in the games /Fallout 3/Data/ folder and nowhere else.

And with Vista and W7, you do NOT want to install the game in the default location anyway. Its asking for more trouble.

Lol i feel like such a idiot id been running round like a headless chicken trying to figure this out and the answer is that simple
