Hi, first of I apologize if my question is common here on the forum! I am rather new to the whole idea of Brink but think the game is going to be awesome.

But my question is, what's the game about? And which of The Resistance and The Security is the Good guys and the Bad Guys. I looked around the forum a bit but didn't really got an exact answer.

Have you seen any of the website videos? They even said that either way the game is boring.

It really comes down to a point of view.

To the Resistance, they are refugees looking to stop the oppressive Security from endangering their right to live.

To the Security forces, they are guarding the Ark from the invading Resistance looking to cause havoc.

The developers made the sides like that. They didn't want a cliche "good-vs-evil" battle. It's much different than the Marines vs the Strogg in "Quake Wars".

Both sides think they are doing the right thing for humanity, security wants to unite the arc and resistance wants to free the ark.

There is a big difference in "freeing" and "leaving".

It depends on how you you look at it. The Resistance is trying to liberate the Ark by taking down the oppressive Security, and the Security is trying to take down a group of terrorists who are damaging the livelihood of everyone on the ark.

The Security are oppressing innocent refugees, and the Resistance are rebellious terrorists trying to overthrow the legitimate authorities. Both sides are evil.

The Security are a hard-pressed police force fighting to stay alive even as they prevent terrorism from running rampant, and the Resistance are freedom fighters struggling against oppression and trying to save the refugees. Both sides are heroic.

If you're playing as Security, Security are the "good guys" and the Resistance are the "bad guys" - if you're playing as Resistance, then the Resistance are the "good guys" and security are the "bad guys" - it's all a matter of perspective. Just like the real world is...
