Question...

Is there something that is the near-equivalent to a spell in Oblivion? Basically I want to attach a script to it, and call it from another script. So that when it's called, the other script runs. In Oblivion I could have an activator cast a scripted spell I created on the player from another script.

Is there an equivalent to this in the G.E.C.K.? Maybe ammo or whatever? I'm just guessing. This is my first attempt to create a mod with G.E.C.K., so I'm not that familiar. Luckily, it is very similar to the TES Construction Set.

I think I found something that may be applicable. Base Effect. I hope I'm right...

EDIT:

Nope. I typed before I actually looked at it in the GECK. Can't attach a script to it. I've noticed at the GECK Wiki there are functions for spells, yet I can't find a way to create a spell in the GECK.

There's a workaround for it, I just have to find it. Maybe an ingestible.

I have made perks run scripts. I have made projectiles run scripts. I have made equiped armor pieces run scripts. And yes, a base effect will run a script.

Say how you want to do it and I am sure we can help set it up for you.

And I have to say, choosing a thread title better than 'Question' would probably get you a more targeted response. I usually skip the threads that are not somewhat specific to what your asking.
