Multiplayer RPG's?

Post » Fri Dec 17, 2010 2:56 pm

One of my friends and I have been searching for a good RPG to RP with each other. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me one.

P.S: We know about Neverwinter Nights 2, but, my friend refuses to play believing he will be labeled as a DnD geek
P.P.S: a good strategy like Total war could work aswell as an RPG

If you want good RP experience, pick tabletop PnP RPG instead.
If that is possible that is.

Baldur's Gate 2 is great game as well. But that might be game what labels you even greater "DnD geek"

Medieval 2:TW has a hotseat campaign I believe. Could also try Two Worlds 2, but I'm not sure if it has co-op missions or anything, maybe just versus.

Get NWN1 and tell him if you're RPing then you're already a geek, so nothing to worry about.

Who gives a [censored] what someone else says, plus if hes that worried about being labled a nerd, tell him no-one has to know.

(i have been dying to play DND but i dont own a game, and have trouble comprehending rules.)

Is there an online forum or something where you can participate in DND?

I've heard good praise on Lord of the Rings Online. Tried that yet?

Actually I haven't, dunno if the MMORPG will take away from RP element but will definitely look at it

If I remember, it had a multiplayer capability, but not sure how it worked.

And if you're just playing with your friend, it can be your little secret, right?

As for strategy, prehaps check out wargamer.com

I have a friend on a game called Battlefield 2, never heard of it, he says theres this mod called "sandbox". And some clan called [GH] does roleplays on it, and they are Multiplayer servers.

neverwinter nights(the first one) has been my go-to for rp since it came out, I still go there today, nothing can beat it. Just got finished rping there not too long ago today, actually. i would say tell him to svck it up and accept being a geek, seeing if he is rping he already is one. Who woulden't want to be a nerd/geek anyway, it frickin' rules.

Star Wars Galaxies used to have a good amount of RP, not sure how many people still do it though.
