Custom Npc Problems

Im trying to make a raider boss named Bones, so I edited an npc ( becuase I wanted to make him with custom armour and weps ) I added armour and a combat shotgun. I tested him in game and the shotun was gone and he only fought with his fists. So I edited him and gave him an AI package that makes him have his weapon drawn, and want to " use weapon " and selected shotguncombat (combat shotgun) I loaded up fallout, he pulls out the shotgun for a second (with an animation glitch) then puts it away and starts punching me again!

I cant find a solution anywhere, and its really starting to piss me off.

Any solutions or help is greatly appreciated :D

Sorry for the quick response, but I am about to head out.

Not 100% sure, but sounds like you made sure he could use guns/ranged already. Did you give him ammo? Probably needs normal shotgun ammo since you are using a non-special one (where some special ones like the follower's weapons (charron, etc. ) have their own infinite ammos). Don't know if that is it, but if not I might be able to try and help later or someone else might be able to answer.

Ooooooh That would make sense to give him ammo, I was thinking that he didnt have the animation becuase I just edited caucasion male 01 but yeah that makes sense, ill go try that now. :)
