npcs spawning in the wrong place...

Hi there! I'm 100% brand spankin' new to the Bethesda forums, the GECK, and level design / modding in general. I picked the GECK as my first modding tool because I adore Fallout 3 and because Bethesda's tutorials have been a great help to me. Right now, I'm working through the "My First Vault" tutorials... yeah, yeah, I know :sweat:

That said, I have been experiencing a couple of issues... it seems like there are quite a few experts on here, so please have patience with me! :bowdown:

Here's my most recent problem:

I placed some Raiders in some of the back rooms, one in patrol mode and one in sandbox, but when I test the level, they're both spawning in the very first room of the Vault, in the same place. Wha...? Can anyone explain why they're not spawning where I placed their markers? Does this have something to do with my navmesh? Something else?


I'm sure I have ten million other questions, but right now that's all I can think of. Thanks for your help.

Probably Navmesh related. Make sure you finalize the navmesh. I have seen the 'everybody gang up in one spot' many times in my mod, but a good navmesh and a reload with a clean save game always fixes it.
