Level Up Crash

After running through minefield, Minesweeping ("I'M GONNA NEED A SWEEPER!") and avoiding having my head blown off by a delusional wasteland-faring man i levelled up. everything went fine until i hit DONE after selecting my perk, when Fallout.exe crashed. Can anyone help me with this?

Update to the latest version of PPA. You'll also need to make a clean save, otherwise the fix won't work.

I haven't managed to encounter this bug myself, I just fixed it by using other people's save games, so I'm not sure about needing to do a clean save. What you should definitely do though when installing the PPA update is first take off power armor and re-save before installing the new files.
