Darth Ravanger is propably mostly right, I dont like nerfing magic. Perhaps thats just me reading The Sword of Truth-series and because of that getting an owny picture of magic.
But I guess that I will have to accept your view of the mages and just see them as extra dangerous melee soldiers.

This is also why I am trying to keep on a low scale. Commander of a Centuria is something which will let me watch the effects of magic and war and react with the mundane means that I am comfortable with.
This topic really deserves a sticky. Especially after I spammed it to death.

Just actually join some War RP's, and learn that way. That's the best way to figure things out.

Yep, I have joined one (as you propably know since you are the one who started it) and I shall try to learn from there. If it starts.

To moderators: Is there anyway to allow this thread to go beyond 10 pages? I know the threads are locked more out of tradition than actual function but as long as the conversation stays on the topic of military tactics concerning TES it should be fine. If not maybe we could delete all the comments and allow the discussion to continue onward. It stimulates forum participation, surely not something the administration would have issue with.

Or, a better idea, make a separate discussion thread for political RPing. Not specifically for the timeline, just tactics and whatnot in general. Continue the same kind of conversation, just in a way that doesn't make problems for the mods. I'll volunteer to start it, today if no one has any problems with that.

Well I say we petition to keep this thread. If they don't let us, or if they lock it soon, then I'll make some kind of discussion thread like I have in the past with general RPing.
