I like all of the ideas. You should make it so we can select all of them.

Well I picked lots of guilds because I felt that Morrowind had so many, while Oblivion so few. Morrowind had the mages, fighters, and thieves guilds, the tribunal temple and imperial cult, the legion, the morag tong, and the three houses. And if you want, you can count the blades I suppose. That's 9-10 guild-like factions. Oblivion had...4-5 (if you count the blades).

Mostly though, I'd like an all of the above option. :D

all of the above - except Cryengine and buyable castles. I'm not in this to play a Sim City game. I'd rather have towns and cities that are immersive, rather than own some bland does-nothing castle and a house in every city.

A balanced stone, scissors, paper approach to weapons and combat.

Levitation with flying wizard battles and new levitation stealth opportunities. Ie As a vampire you could pull an unsuspecting NPC away into the night from above without anyone hearing or seeing!

More imaginative alternatives to keeping the gameplay challenging than level scaling

More voice actors (don't blow the whole budget on Sean Bean this time!

definately no weapons or armour scaling

loads of rare artifacts hidden in places like the grail temple from Indiana Jones and the last crusade! Instead of the usual caves with goblins and a necromancer NPC at the end.

A travel system that gives the real sense of journey that nearly all modern rpg's have lost! Ie crossing deserts with nothing but the stars as a guide, crossing oceans by ship, maybe a secret Island!

A low key start like morrowind (definately no CGI)

More interesting magic effects, powerful spells to look like armageddon!

An archery contest!

An arena guild quest with a story similar to Gladiator.

A thieves guild quest with a story similar to the Oceans 11 trilogy! (oblivions thieves guild quest was the best thing about the whole game I think)

A book about the Nerevarine!!!

More interesting weapon training.

Dragons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations Bethesda!

DEPTH.

Depth as in...
1) Topographical: High, sheer cliffs with deep, winding, dangerous valleys. Several forests and open plains, grasslands with marshes and lakes and rivers.

2) Depth of lore: bring us into the story. make us a part of it.

3) Birds flying we can interact (shoot or call in or use such as falconry, etc). More fish types and fishing. More types of creatures and plant life.

It all looks nice, but I doubt it will happen in this game... Maybe someone will go crazy with mods. (No idea how you could implement an entire new engine with mods though.)

I have an idea for enchanted weapons. Have the enchantment only activate when you hold down a button (such as GRAB).
That way, you can conserve your enchantment, should it prove redundant to keep using it.

Well first you should have made it so that you can choose several options on the poll....

What do I want in Skyrim? Let's see...

Take everything from Fable, every gameplay aspect, and keep it OUT of Skyrim. That is what I want.

I wanted to choose all of them but since I had to disagree with the Cry engine 3, I only chose a longer main quest and many more sidequests

1. More variety in armor/weapons types and design(example: more than one type of daedric armor, like the "faces" in MW),
2. The return of stalrim and nordic equipment
3. Armor/weapons that follow lore(orcish acually being lighter than average steel, and glass have almost no weight, but low itemhealth),
4. Skill requirement in guilds
5. Great House-type of guilds and knight orders
6. Quest that actually have an effect on the world rather than only hearing a few rumors(the quest with the bomb in megaton is a good example),
7. No forced "use this, it's the best in all ways" type of spell since spellmaking is gone.
8. More ways to earn artifacts(in tombs by example)
9. More artifacts
10. No adoring fan or fargoth type of characters
11. More interesting characters
12. An opertunity to work against TG and DB
13. More Evil Guilds
14. More Good Guilds
15. More Neutral Guilds

Just of the top of my head :)

I won't bother with the poll as there's no 'other' option. As such the poll is biased. :flamethrower:

You should edit this post to multiple option. Liked the suggestions, though.

From my signature:

Skyrim Wishlist:
  • Fast travel services & spells, a la Morrowind.
  • No all-knowing quest marker. Better directions, mark whereabouts on my map.
  • Polearms, crossbows, thrown weapons.
  • PC-efficient UI, with UI keybinds.
  • Separate left/right pauldrons and gloves. Clothing over/under armor.
